Default ? for people running 550's w a 255walboro w/ fic

im just curious as to what the driveability portion of ur maps look like. im havin an issue once again with trims. i have over -50% fuel pulled and for some reason i still cant get this thing to trim out. im starting to get very frustrated with the fic. i had it all trimmed out and everything was fine for 3 days, stft & ltft's were right where they needed to be. yesterday, my ltft's were back at -33%. right now as it sits, @ idle my stft's are @ 0 and my ltft are @ -23. under load, everything is right within range. idk if maybe i have a bad fic, or maybe something else is wrong. im gonna try cleanin off my maf, i have a brand new a/f sensor, no vac leaks, no boost leaks, plugs are gapped @ .28. the only reason im getting frustrated is bc i keep fouling out plugs.

basically, im lookin to see how much fuel u have pulled within ur driveability area of ur fuel map. im using dw 550's, & a walboro 255 pump.

try zeroing out partial throttle on the FIC and see if the OEM ecu will do its thing.

i tried that already mike. i think i got it on my lunch break. im gonna drive it around and see if they hold. i had to take away -52% @ idle. now my ltft are holding @ -3% and stft are around the same @ idle. this morning my stft were in range and ltft were at -30 @ idle but were holding withing range under normal driving. idk, if this doesnt work, than some 9mm bullets are gonna go flyin towards my glove box!!!

Iv have battled the same thing, never had that problem on my first turbo kit. I have not had this problem come up for a month now. I did a few things to try and fix the issue, new primary o2, boost leak test, replaced my pnp harness, clean maf and replace worn o-ring. Replacing my pnp harness was the last thing I tried and it seemed to have fixed it till a week later it happens again. However this time it happend I found a t-bolt clamp had slipped off but the charge pipe stayed in the coupling, it leaked just enough to create a large fuel trim but kept the car running. I'm still giving it time before I call it fixed, my car has proven me wrong befor... Lol

Hmm that is strange - I never have had an issue with my 630cc, 1000cc, or 1300cc injectors. Granted the latter two were on E85, which does require more fuel. Im at -5 - +5% ltft depending on the day/temps pretty much everywhere including idle. Its gotta just be in the tune, or its an issue with the FIC.

well it looks like im back to square one once again. ive taken away so much fuel that im showing positive trims while driving. once i stop, my stft stay normal, my ltft are @ -18.0. i think its time to give aem a call and see what they have to say.

give it a day of driving for ltft to clear.

iv gotten to the point that i think it could be a firmware issue...but im not going to worry about it unless that issue comes back.

i was thinkin it was a firmware issue as well at first. but now i have no idea. i gave aem a call and spoke with bo, he told me to change the o2 to percent instead of voltage, this way the a/f sensor pretty much controls the fueling in closed loop. so i did that, took it for a run and it seemed to help out almost immediately. im gonna try tuning the closed loop area like this and see what happens. he said if that doesnt work out, than he wants me to send him my file. idk chris, im completely puzzled.

get the afrs close w O2 disconnected for a start. We have tuned tCs with 900cc injectors and full fuel system w/o issue.

Ive tried that as well. I got em all around 14.7 in closed loop, than re-connected my a/f sensor and same thing. Im gonna attempt to do this w the o2 voltage switched to percent and see if itll trim out.

iv gone as far as compleatly disconnecting the o2 tap from the fic and that issue still came up. let me know how things go, like i told fred iv done percent mode before and filled the map with 0 (in theory the fic shouldnt be making any corrections based on that) but that never worked out too well.

im tryin this out right now with the o2 disconnected, and the o2 table in percent mode. this is the last step im gonna take. after this, aem is getting another call and i may consider switching management.

anyone think that maybe i have bad injectors? now that im thinkin about it, i got the car to trim out with the factory injectors & the 255walboro usin the fic, but once i put in the 550's is when i started to have this issue.

mike, do u remeber when we were tryin to get my car to trim out with the factory fuel pump, and i was still throwin a p0172 after u got it within range. i just dont see how its at all possible that while driving, my stft & ltft are +, but yet at idle, my ltft go -. it just doesnt make any sense whatsoever.

idk if this matters either but im runnin the stock fuel rail & regulator. also i noticed my fuel load at idle is over 30% which from what im understanding, its supposed to be under 30%, idk im thinking bad injectors.

Disconnect the o2 and tune it yourself. Then you dont have to worry about this fuel trim problem
