What up guys? My TC's engine just seized a few days ago. Apparently I shot a rod bearing. I was wonder if there is a local shop to get a rebuild to get it running and to handle more hp, planing to throw in a turbo.

 

well there are a few places kind of depends on how much your looking to rebuild how much hp your looking to do with a turbo kit and so on. me and alot of other in arizona that turbo'ed our tc didn't do any mods to our motor internals and never had motor problems that i have heard of. mine does a around 250 hp without internal mods and plenty of other run close to 300 i think and haven't done any internal modifications. anyways for scion specialist in mesa i know jeremy (no limitz built) has a shop in mesa off of southern and mesa drive. i work for 2 different places one in mesa (valvista and southern) and one in phoenix (broadway and 41st). if you have any question just ask and i'm sure the scion community out here we'll give you there insight that can help you out.

Yes I need to fill this wheel gap. Does no limits sell springs or should I buy them online and have them just install.

 

They can get you springs, or you can order. Your choice, but I would just call.

 

Call around, shop around. You could hit up ***** to do spring install if you can't do it yourself. I can get in contact with him, just let me know. People are also selling used springs in the private party classifieds section...

As far as the OP's engine is concerned, I would hit up UMS if all else fails. And I wouldn't worry about building the internals if you go boosted. I'm putting down 305.0 hp/293.6 tq at the wheels at 10 PSI. I would recommend switching our your clutch and flywheel though down the road if you go the boosted route.

 

Not sure the best way to go. Springs or coilovers. I'm not a racer or aggressive driver. Just going for the look. I don't mind fishing out the money either way.

We don't really do many engine builds though because they're time consuming and there's several local shops that specialize in it. You could pick up a used engine with lower miles and swap it, though. I saw someone mention UMS... Great guys over there. They could probably help you with the engine build.
