2011 XB with a top end tick
Has anyone ever had a cam go out or a timing chain tensioner go bad on a 2AZFE? I've got 23,000 miles on mine and have always changed oil with regular Pennzoil 5w-20 and used Fram Tough Guard filters. My last oil change I tryed Pennzoil Platinum 0w-20 and a Purolator Classic filter. Ran great for about 1,000miles and then yesterday I started it up and had a tick in the top end. Still seems to run fine, but all I used to hear was the ticking from the injectors, this is definately coming from either the valves or the timing chain. I changed oil last night again, went back to what I used before and it seemed to improve a little bit, but today its just as bad again. I'm gonna take it to the dealer, but i'm hoping they don't give me any grief because I don't have any reciepts from my oil changes, even though I've changed it every 5,000miles or sooner.

The dealer tryed telling me they couldn't hear the noise I was talking about. Whatever...so I went to pick it up and saw they had a slightly used 2012 army rock metallic 5spd XB on their lot, exactly what I was looking for the first time around, and to make a long story short, I traded the 2011 in on it, so now it is their baby. This one only had 5400miles on it and they gave me what I wanted on my trade in, so it was hard to resist.
