Default Speakers & Amps

So I just bought (4) 6.5 Pioneer TS-A168R 4-Way speakers and have them installed. I want to buy an amp to power them but I'm really not quite sure what to get...I know I need 4channel but how many watts do I need? I do not want to blow them but yet want to push enough power to make them scream.

350W max power per pair
50W RMS per speaker

Thanks for your help

Go with the RMS of the speaker, in other words get a amp that pushes 50RMS continuously and that's not over 350W in power.

Actually, you can go to a higher wattage amp with no fear of destroying the speaker at clean volume levels. The key is to properly set the gain on the amp. Also, no to expect 6" speakers to thump out the bass or be heard across the 'hood. My experience is that underpowered amps pushed hard (amp run into clipping) damages speakers faster than over powered amps.
