So I went to ebay and pulled up some pulleys just for the hell of it...and I came across two different brands of pulleys. One is OBX Racing and the other is Ralco RZ Performance. Now I was planning on getting the Agency Power Lightweight Crank Pulley because I like the OEM sized pulley...but I looked up OBX and Ralco and they both seem legit. My question is are both OBX and Ralco well known brands or are they a cheap brand? Between the three brands...all the pulleys are the same price. So if anyone has OBX and Ralco please tell me how you like them...and for the Agency Power I hear a lot of people love em!

OOO yeah....I forgot about NST lol Which one do I need if you know? Sounds like a dumb question but they a couple of them and they really don't give much info on them, I have an 07 auto and would like to stick with the OEM sized. I have emailed them and asked what specific one I needed but they never emailed me back.

 

There is an entire thread on pulleys. That being said, you don't need any. If you choose to get one, buy whatever color brand you like since they ALL do the same thing.

 

I had NST pulleys for about 50k+ miles, without any problems.

Friend of mine had Agency Power, he never had any problems with that either.

Not to sure about OBX.

 

Again there is a thread on pulleys. 50k doesn't mean anything. Have two same engines one with stock damper and one with a solid crank pulley for 100k and look at the rod bearings, I promise you, you will see a difference in the two (wear wise) the one with OEM pulley will look in better shape.

I meant it more in the sense of the quality of the product. The pulley didn't crack. I was boosted at 12psi, and drove the car hard. I know 50k miles is nothing compared to the overall mileage of the life of the car.

I completely agree with you that for the most part a stock car will outlast one that has been modified. No argument there.

This pulley debate has been going on for a really long time now....

To sum it up... the pulley decreases the amount of mass that you have to rotate. Given that... you can achieve similar results from a lighter flywheel or lighter wheels.

There is a reason that companies like ATI make pulleys that are lightened but cost around $300.

On the other side of things... Our motors do not rev very high and some people have not had problems. There have been some people that have had problems.

Conclusion... read the existing threads and form your own conclusion.
