Default Update pics of eyelids and billet grille = 50/50 happy

Ok, I got the eyelids put on, and they look good, although for a paint match I was expecting them to contain the metallic flake in the paint...Not just be solid black. I could of painted them myself black and saved $30, but looks good quality...one of the eyelids has a wavyness to it on the bottom where it looks to of been trimmed or whatever have you. Otherwisel ooks good...

the billet grille...It just seems to not of won me over....I am thinking of sanding it and painting it gunmetal or something. i like the look but not 100% for some reason. I dunno...

what you guys think?

I definitely agree. I love the eyelids!!! However you are correct when you say that something is off. I think the flashyness of the chromish grill sets off the black color of the car. Basically the two directly opposite colors on the car are unexpected. And since the rims are black, the grill doesn't match anything on the car except the lips of the rim, which makes the grill out of place. I would definitely like the look of a black gloss grill. Sand that shiat down and paint it black and put about 100 coats of gloss on it and you'll be stylin!!
But then again I'm no art major
Nice car though!

the blackout is definitely a cool look... but I kinda like the looks of the grill the way it is. I think it works well with the polished lip on the wheels. Do you have a chrome exhaust tip? IMO, a little contrast is a good thing.

the grille zip ties...can use as many as u want...

I am debating the whole painting the grille, I dunno about flat black, but maybe gunmetal possibly, so it has SOME contrast...

For what my two cents is worth, I like the grille. I think the contrast that the grille provides with the polished lip looks good. Thats the look I want. Did you get the grille from Ebay?

do something creative...because the grill itself could look hott...too much bling in my opinion but i think if you maybe put a blacked out scion logo on it or even better...put a blacked out tC logo on it on the passenger side...like the old
VR6 logos on mark 3 volkswagens...i think that a blacked out scion emblem would be hott...mainly due to the fact that these grilles just dont do it for me...theres too much metal...dont paint it tho...u paid good money for the aluminum...put the scion logo back on it and see what u think...i think it would tie it in alot better and still retain the semi stock look that i love so much...do something cool...if u paint it it will just look like the ____ty rs1 grille...

mine were suppose to be painted from the guy I ordered them from. he said they were black sand and I got em, they look just black to me...I dunno...I find it hard to believe they are since there is no flake whatsoever in them. I emailed him about one of them being made bad and its peeling upwards....not to happy because the passenger one stuck ok, and now its getting dust under it and it I dunno what to do...I dont want to use a gel/glue to stick it on and ruin the headlight...I emailed him to hopefullly resolve something...
