Default carbon fiber hoods

I've had the vis carbon fiber hood with scoop for about 8 months now and the thing has two cracks in it now. there not huge cracks but im sure in time they will grow. id like to know if anyone else has had this problem. im considering gettin a new hood but i would like to know whos got what hood and what their experience has been with it. i dont want to get another and have the same thing happen.

Where are the cracks? What do you think caused them, stress?

one crack is the upper left corner of the scoop and it doesnt look like a rock caused it. the second one is on the upper left side of the hood. that one looks like it could be a stone but it doesnt have like a chip or anything. they both look like they just decided to crack.

For those of you who have hood pins, any tips on installing them, should i use a gap filler along with the screws to avoid cracking?

word good question. i just like to add to the question. if you install hood pins with a carbon fiber hood does that make that area more prone to cracking or chipping later down the line?
