Picked this system up 3 weeks ago from sp-egineering, www.sp-power.com. Ordered it and received it the day after. Very quick service and highly recommended!

Install was a breeze minus the stupidly stubborn rubber hangers that held the stock axle back on. Only one bolt and the clamp came off with ease.

If it is your first time doing anything, I would expect 30 minutes for the install otherwise it took me around 10 minutes taking my time, and admiring the huge grapefruit shooter I had now acquired.

The fitment is pretty good except the tip is pretty huge so it burnt a tad bit on the inner corner of my muffler cut out. It is also angled slightly to the right which I do not mind at all.

I was very dissapointed in how it sounded because it was so quiet. My first thoughts was that I should have gotten a tip instead. As I "broke in" the exhaust, it gradually got louder but still to do this day, it still remains very quiet and you can only hear it at low rpms with agressive throttle. Daily driving, you won't be able to hear it at all.

 

There's no point in having a muffler if you don't want it to muffle the sound. That is their purpose.

 

Blitz Nurspec is the same way. Can't hardly hear it at all. Now if it was the universal Nurspec muffler on my VR-4 that has 3" turboback catless exhaust, it would be loud as f*ck.
Oh well.

i have this exhaust as well, it sounds great. real low and non ricey. after about 1k miles on the muffler it gets a bit louder. hope this helps

 

looks huge..strup it is.. or ..maybe.

 

fuji the tip fills out the cutout real well. the strup hangs lower than the greddy. besides its greddy. quality doesnt get much better

 

The quality is good. Nice clean welds and everything fits well.

The sound is most definately a low bassy tone that is only heard at low rpms.

I've got close to 1000 miles on it already and it has gotten more noticable which is a definate plus.

No regrets on the purchase at all.

 

I too have the EVO II. I thought it was a bit on the quite side as well. However, after installing the Injen Short-Ram and DC Headers, it is now much louder! I like how it sounds...but it seems a little restricted. I am thinking about removing the resonators ; )

 

Looks ok to me.

 

Have had this system for about 6 months now, although mine is slanted a little too much to the right and almost touches the cutout.

Other than that, everything is perfect...Greddy quality and a nice low deep tone. I'm not a fan of loud raspy exhausts, especially living in Southern California. You have to hear it in person to appreciate it.

I will also chime in and say that the evoII gets a little louder with time. For those of you having issues with exhaust moving around and being crooked in the cutout, try sticking some screw-drive hose clamps around the rubber exhaust hangers. It'll keep things where they should be, and also tucks the tip just a little further up into the exhaust cut out on the bumper too.

 

Good idea--i'll try that, I'd like it to sit up more in the cutout as well.

I am having no problems with my greddy evo 2 tip moving around touching cut outs etc... but i am having a problem with the stock piping saggin and resting on the 8" bracket/tie that is located at the middle of the car, it is now vibrating, and making a clunking sound, any suggestions on how to raise up the piping to prevent it from touching the bracket??
