i like to take my new car to the racetrack and do a few burnouts in the parking lot to get the film off the tires. put the first 100 miles on at wide open throttle and redline shifts. be sure to include plenty of engine braking into turns and shoddy downshifts.
then i take it back to the dealsership the next day and tell them this thing is a piece of junk, it wont even last 100 miles!
actually, that's if you're buying a neon srt-4. then i'd walk across the street and pick up my new scion!
just take it easy for the first 500 miles. keep the engine revs under 5000. hold off on anything experimental or crazy until after 1000 miles.
you'll be all good!

No need to break it it, just drive how you want it to drive, remember it's got a learning ecu so drive hard and you'll recieve full power, drive slow and you'll get a slow bug..

Just make sure you don't drive it at a consistent speed for a long period of time. The dealer told me to keep changing the speed for the first couple thousand miles.

Finally broke in my engine. Though it may not be to fast. I do like the feel of the drive and could probably wupp my del sol when it was stock. Just want to see how it would feel with a supercharger.
