Last year it was like third on another best family car list. It was on MSN.com. That's a huge reason why I got it. It doesn't guzzle gas like an SUV and it looks soooooo much better then a minivan. Plus I love it!!!

Family car. Yeah, that what I will keep telling myself when I make additional modifications. It’s for the family!!! The kids would love for me to install LED under the car. The Wife would love for me to add a sub woofer. Yeah, the family car.

Our current "family car" (and the only car we have) is a '95 TBird with a 281ci V8, modded to ~255HP, chrome wheels, 245/50 ZR 16 tires, 1400W stereo with 2 dual voice coil subs... My kids love it!

My 3 year-old son is obsessed with xBs, and my wife likes them too. Getting one will be EASY, especially since I test drove one back in March for a whole day and now everyone I know loves the vehicle now. Now to get some finances in order... :D

Good to here. When ordering your car, I recommend that you only buy the options that you need the dealer to install. The floor mats, exhaust tip, appliques and other items can be brought cheaper online.

It's going to be relatively stock... The few things I order with it will be things that I either I don't have the time or skill to install. I do electrical & mechanical engineering daily, so hopefully it won't be so much a "lack of skill" thing, but more of a "don't have the time to install it myself because I've got 2 kids hanging off of me" kind of thing.

Here's the MSN article (xB ranked #1 among "small wagons"):

http://autos.msn.com/advice/article....LP%20Passenger

And here's the Parents Magazine article (xB ranked #1 among "economy cars"):

Glad I bookmarked those now!

Enjoy! :D

The last issue of comsumer reports (2005-06 model car review) had pretty much all good things to say about the xB. I think they named it one of the best buys etc.....
The only thing they were not touting was the interior noise and hard to operate stereo system. It was cool, they had a write up on how VSC works etc and they showed a pic of the xB diving into a corner.......sweeeeet.

Yeah, that's a good issue to have. I picked it up at Target specifically because of all the kudos for the xB in it! :D Seems like they rated it a "best value" in it's category, or something like that...

I wonder how many magazines have ranked it/rated it as a good vehicle? Lots, I imagine.

hmmmm.... I don't know him, since I haven't been here that long... I'll let you do that, if ya want.

I've gotten into the habit of bookmarking every xB article I find. Hope it helps some people out! :D
