Default TRD springs bump stop question

I'm planning on installing my TRD springs this weekend and I was wondering if I need to cut the bump stops. If so how much do I need to cut?

Nobody I know cut the bump stops - and I know couple of dozen people who had springs installed or did it themselves. I lowered 3 tCs - did not cut anything, and everybody is happy.

when cutting the bump stop which piece would you reuse the top piece or bottom piece. also does it matter which one you use

Agreed, installed mine myself, have talked to several others who've done theirs, no cutting involved. Car rides very well, no problem with shock travel, etc.

Wouldn't you want the bump stops there to keep the tires from running into the fenders under hard cornering? Never looked too hard into how far the travel is before it hits something but bumpstops seem like a good thing.

i would cut the bump stop in half and (you're supposed to reuse the top half) use it... not cutting it may have the bump stop be umm.... undergo more uhh... stress?

i've seen bump stops ripped into pieces because it was hitting too hard. and (i dunno how to explain it)... just cut it.
