I was with my friend in his prelude once. In this parking lot there was a huge speed bump (about 5 feet wide...the ramp kind) NEway he was going like 30 through the lot and didn't see it...Yanked his Greddy cat-back right off. It was probably one of the most unpleasand noises I've ever heard in a car.

Back in the late 80's early 90's I had a Nissan pickup that
I had lowered and souped up a bit. It was about 4" from the
street to the bottom of the body, but it had a crossmember
to the frame that hung about 1/2" lower then that.

So yeah, going into a gas station, where they have those
filler holes in cement where they fill up the big tanks under
the station...well I tore the lid off of one of those, big sparks
and all! I was very lucky the station didn't blow up! LOL

Personally, I feel anyone going through a parking lot at anything
more then 15-20 should be shot, but that's just me.

i go to my parents house all the time and their driveway is very steep ... and to add to the ugliness the portion of road that meets it is broken ... so i have to exit the driveway at an angle (ive hit the front on the road a few times) .... and my car is NOT lowered ... i do have the front lip tho .. so that does lower the front by about an inch or so ... i dont wanna lower my car cuz i will hit there ... my parents will be moving in a while so i may lower it after they move ...

Yes, ever since lowering my car, I've bottomed out at times when I thought for sure I wouldn't have. Meh, I don't think anything is ruined... yet.

Last week my girl was driving her slammed Acura CL and bottomed out.... I mean nasty. I bought a cheap camber kit for the neuspeed springs and kyb shocks I bought for the ride. Ball joints completely gave way on a hard bump. It was so sad it looked like the car was crippled or something. Anyway bought a top notch camber kit (ingalls) and now the car's all good.

my tc isnt lowered but my mom went full speed going up a driveway as i stood there helplessly to watch and hear the bottom scream. it hurted me so much since it was a couple weeks old. i asked her if she knew what happened and she said no. i told her never to go that fast going up a driveway ever again. its gonna be worse once i drop the car.

Speaking of those little stone things....I saw a guy a couple months ago in a civic strolling through the parking lot out site of my work. (I hate people that cut across lots) NEway he was coming up on a row of the stone things and he wasn't slowing down. Sure enough he hit it dead on. I think his front end might have gotten airborn. It was rocking side to side and then his back end hit it and popped up about a foot.

Probably one of the funniest things I've seen someone do in a car....

I ask my girl to get out of the car before I get into my driveway. Otherwise I touch gtound with my fromt bumper. I am overly careful though so no bottom outs for me.
