dont you hate bottoming out?
"Baby... you know you gotta get out of the car when I pull in. You make it scrape due to the extra weight.."
*Slap*
"But baby... no you dont understand..."

"Maybe I'll just park it on the street"

The garage at the place I'm renting is awful - there is a lip to climb up into the garage that is such that I almost always scrape SOMETHING on the bottom of my car going in and out of there. Royally ____es me off. I'm about ready to take a grinder wheel out there myself and take care of it.
I have done this twice..the first time was my fault..went out a driveway a little to fast..and BOOM SCRAP! i said HOLY @#$#% pulled over to look..just some little scratches that you have to get on the floor to see so no biggie....second time i was coming out from PC Club..and the drive way was steap and SCRAPE i said DAMMIT! some more little scratches but under the front..no biggie!
I lightly scraped the bottom of my front lip on a highish curb a few weeks ago. Feels really crappy cause the car is so new. Seems like it's just a thing that is bound to happen eventually,
Now i'm thinking of applying those black exterior stair tread strips that look like very coarse sandpaper on the front lip bottom of the lip, full width of the car. It should be able to take most minor encounters with curbs and ramps again and avoid further damage to the plastic material under it. If it get messed up, I could replace it with new strips. The dark grey/black color of the strips should not show up too much on my FM tC. Anayway, it would be only mostly visible of you look up from underneath the car. I'm also considering Ski top protection film. It's basically ultra thick plastic tape that's applied on top of downhill skis to keep them looking new. I'm finding it kinda hard to locate though, being that it's summer.
