Default Crazy decal idea...

So I had this fairly nutty idea for how to do "sponsor" decals for my xB, but wanted to run it by you guys first to see if it was possible, or worse, silly.

Here's what i'm thinking- have 8" long decals (Tein, DC Sports etc) printed up for the rear quarter window, chrome vinyl, but in REVERSE. Then afix them to the INSIDE of the window. If I'm imagining it correctly you'll only see them when the light hits them right, or when backlit, because of the tint...

Will this work? Has anyone done this before? It would be cool to be the first

have you tested it yet Donovan? I know the back windows are tinted slightly so I wonder if it would stand out enough. good idea though.

Wouldn't removing them mess up the tinting?

I want it to be subtle...
I'm not sure if the factory tint would be effected but i imagine not.

He said factory tint. It will not mess up the factory tint on the xB as it is in the glass itself.

Do it and post pics.

Personally I'd only put stickers on my car if they gave me free parts. I thought about making up decals but changing the names slightly like Turd, Hugkiss, (hotchkis) goldslime etc... just to see if any one noticed. But, I'm staying sticker and sponsor free.

Oh, I've seen stickers on the inside of tint that dark and it doesn't look to great.

I don't think the chrome vinyl's going to be reflective on the adhesive side. I'd do it with black for the ultra subtle look.

Yeah I'm not sure if it's reflective on both sides or not. Other decals I've had were the same on both sides tho, including metallic silver ones. If all else fails I can try using that color instead...

You are correct....You won't see chrome, you will see adhesive, any color you use would look Black through the tint, it just depends on how much you want it to stand out. Also, as said before, this will not affect the factory tint because it is in the glass.

I did this with stickers up the mid right side. On the inside looks sooo much cleaner. Will post pics when I get home.

First off sorry I am terrible at taking pictures. First one you can see the Florida logo in the middle at the top of the pic. Second one is where I started at the bottom and I am going up with the performance parts, right now it is a short list, only 1, Tanabe.

if you want it subtle use vinyl that is a true shadow ... it will make the vinyl look one shade darker that would be sublte
