Default Motorized video system in a tC's dash?

I'm not positive if this has been discussed before, I ran a quick search but we all know how hard it is to find a topic that isn't talked about a lot.

I'll be looking at mobile video in a few months, and I'm deciding if to go with an indash double din unit, or a single din flip out. I'm more partial to flip out, since you can get a bigger screen.

My question is, does the flip-out cover for the tC prevent from using motorized head units? I fear I'd have to remove the cover, which is not something I'd like to do. If this would work.. pics, please!

Thanks.

I haven't seen anyone do a flip out monitor in a tc yet, largely because the double din fits most monitors well.

Ive seen a few and each person either removed the door, or said they had to keep the door always open.

While I appreciate the response, I think you are misunderstanding me. This isn't a clearance issue where the door can no longer close, it's an issue with a flip out LCD moniter being able to come out enough in the X direction in order to clear the Y clearance.

well, if some people had to keep the door open all the time, like he said, then obviously it fit and allowed the LCD screen to fold up with no problem.
