Default llumar tint dyed (AT) or dyed & metal (ATR)

hey guys,

im looking into getting llumar tints. leaning toward 35%.

for those of you with llumar tints, did you get the dyed (AT) or dyed & metal (ATR) film? for those of you who got the ATR film, any problems with the radio (AM/FM) or cell phone since it consists of metal? thanks!

some info about llumar films:

Get dark. Metallic is no good and will show inperfections in tint a lot more.

If you chose tint that contains metal, it could effect certain receptions. For example, if you have GPS, the receiver might not be able to get the signal through the tint.

Most of the installers I've spoken to while doing research
all say go carbon not metal. Radio reception being the biggest
issue, but that also does extend to GPS and even Cell Phones!

I just had LLumar Stealth in 5% installed yesterday and had no reception problems what so ever. This is my fifth car with LLumar and never had a problem and would chnage it. The heavy blue metallic sets the IIP off real nice

The LLumar Metal Film(ATR) is great and has a great heat rejection for a 35% film. And as for dyed films they only have a 1 year to 3 year warranty so it is not as dependable as a Metal film(ATR has a lifetime warranty). As for ceramic or carbon films make sure you stick with 3M CS window film line. It may be a little bit more expensive but they have a lifetime warranty and rival metal films. I have it on my tC and I love it. And as for imperfections it doen't matter about if its metal or dyed, it depends on the installer and darkness. The darker you go the more imperfections you can see. BECARFUL!!!! There are a lot of window tint places out there but only a very very small select few know what they are doing. Tint installer experience is a factor, so is the product and its warranty. Any shop can sound the best over the phone or internet. Go and see the work for yourself. Last thing you want is scratched windows and burned window sills to accompany a terrible tint job. Remember, cheap work is not good and good work is not cheap. Any Window or tint questions just let me know.
