Default Does anybody know?

Does anyone know how much Hp a stock Xb makes at the wheels? I did a dyno run on my Xb Saturday night and just wanted to compare my numbers with the stock numbers.

That should have been a stock automatic Xb and not a manual. Sorry about that.

the type of transmission shouldn't affect dyno numbers.

actually the transmission affects the dyno ALOT. manuals get 92-96 whp , autos get between 76-80 something.

??????

How? (if possible, dumb it down for me....Is there more friction in auto trannies that rob hp, etc?) I know that the auto trannied cars are generally slower than their manual counterparts, but I never thought it would affect dyno numbers.

ALOT more friction not to mention additional rotating mass.

there's usually a difference of 8-15 hp between auto and manual trannies w/ like set-ups as far as intake, header and exhaust is concerned on xBs.

It is actually true. My mods include a K&n CAI, Strup header, and Borla catback. My best run was 94.2hp and a guy running a similar setup with a manual transmission was at 101hp. Manuals do get a little more HP.

People: it's "a lot" with a space. "Alot" is not a word.

Edit: just to add, a better, more informative title for this thread would have been "How much hp does the xB get at the wheels?" or "does anyone know how many whp the xB gets?" instead of "does anyone know?"
