Yeah man if thats cool with you. The scion box is in the shop right now getting fixed should be getting it back wednesday or so. plus i'm thinking about just ordering a whole new set of badges something tells me these are the "REAL" badges . theres quite a bit of imperfection on them. but next weekend i'm gona be in kenai deep netting.

I'll be back in Alaska this comming sunday. Just call me monday evening so that i know when to get the heat gun.

Alaska Scion Club has been invited to join the nations first free scion club call "Scinergy Nation". I'd like to get another club meeting to see how everyones been and get their thoughts and ideas about the following events.

Sorry I haven't been around much; we've been very busy at work lately. It looks like I'll be making a trip to Anchorage on Tuesday. There's a conference on Wednesday that I'll be attending, then heading home on Thursday. If you all would like to meet up some time during this coming week, it would be great. Unfortunately, it's a work trip, so I won't be driving my own car. Still, it would be nice to just get together and see how everybody is doing.

I'm looking to buy a Scion TC soon.. but theres no Scion dealers up in squarebanks (fairbanks)... Where did you buy your Scions and can you gimme a link to their site or let mek now if they have any TCs... Im not afraid to make a trip to anchorage to buy one. I goto anchorage like 1 or 2 times a month (Summer time).. :)

No TCs.. they emailed and said they will be getting two in.. 1 auto black cherry... 1 manual black cherry.. I'm going to call soon I think and talk to them about what we can do over the phone.... as far as getting my credit info and trade in info over the phone.... and ordering a flint mica hopefully.. ;)

Bad news for ya'll -- I won't be able to get off work on 29 August. The other two in my office already have a business trip scheduled for that entire week, and there's no way I can get out. You are all welcome to continue the drive to Valdez, or to come on over the weekend before the State Fair meet, if you'd like. We can go out and kill some silver salmon, and I can accomodate at least two people in my place. Let me know if you guys want to come out or not.

Besides that, it looks like I'll have another work trip to Anchorage coming up relatively soon. We're thinking the first full week of September. I'll be going down to Seward and Whittier for a couple of the days, but a good amount of time will be spent in the city proper. The good news -- I'll actually be driving my car this time! I'll let you all know what's going on as the time draws nearer; perhaps we can set another meet some time while I'm over there.

a meet in valdez... sounds good. i was just at ninilchik and on the waydown i saw a nother black box in soldotna. anybody know who that person may be?? 1 of my friends said that the person driving was a girl.. but over all i had a fun drive down there and back but the unfortunate thing is that i have a good chip on the side of my car that i didn't even think that would happen. i guess i need to get some touch up paint. but i gotta go... i better get back to work before i get a beeting.

The xb is missing the right rear headrest, and scion wants 399.62 for a freaking headrest.

maybe ill just buy one through directed or something, all i want the headrest for is to put a TV in it anyway ;)

Fair Meet update:
i was thinking everyone in anchorage could meet up at the dealership and we could show off more to nye that were really serious about our club. and from there we all head out at the same time.

Decal/Shirt update:
Finally got the pics on the site cost about $25.00 a shirt at the shop in the 5th ave. mall. but I'll buy the shirt from foot locker (5 for $20.00 special) so let me know the coloer combo then i'll buy the shirt and maybe we could all meet up at 5th ave. for a quick photo shot in the garage and have your shirts made.
(unless you can get a "hook up" paul. and gary just tell me what color combo you want and i got you covered till you get back into town.)

I need help with the photo gallery i'm not farmiliar with that Phpbb stuf and i would like to get the configuration that is on Alaskamotorsport.com. so if any body could help me out with that it would help out the club alot. since we'll have like picture of the month type stuff and everything.

Congrats on getting your club going. I was in Alaska last month on a cruise. I didn't see any while I was out there and trust me I was looking. It's probably because I was in smaller cities. Skagway, Ketchikan and Juneau were the ports we docked in.

I'm surprised you got anyone to even talk to you down at the dealership. When i get my other xb im going to be ordering from another place, like washington or oregon. :nope:

Right on, Drew! That's exactly what we need, because the dealership can just tell people about us when they come to pick up their cars, or when they come in for service. We'll have to give them some photos and such of our cars. Hopefully, that will help them with sales, because people will see how happy we are with our rides.

On a related note, there's a guy who works in town that bought a box! I saw him a couple of times around town, but wasn't able to catch up with him until a couple of days ago at the grocery store. He said he loved his box, but he didn't seem to keen on the car club idea. I gave him our website and my phone number so we could talk more if he wanted to, but we'll just have to wait and see.

And MuNkY: What's the problem you had with this dealership? We've all got some contacts there if you want to talk to someone. Remember that it will cost a lot of money to ride the ferry or have your car shipped up from Seattle, and driving through Canada won't be an option for much longer this year. Seriously, let us help you out with your dealership issues. I'm not on their side or anything -- I actually bought my xA in Florida! -- but i do want to make sure you don't spend a dollar more than you have to on your car.

Have you ever been down there? the service is absolutely horrible, i went down there on three different times with money, ready to order and put a down payment on my scion. i got the run around from 3 different salesmen on one occasion who didnt know squat about the scions. and another time, a salesmen pretty much told me i "wasnt serious" about buying so he wouldnt even help me. i was like wtf? and the third time i went down there nobody even helped me, didnt even acknowledge that i was in the dealership.

like i said before, i wont be ordering from them, even if i have to pay more to get it up here. Scion of anchorage can kiss my ___.

edit: i ended up buying a used one in town from my buddies down at Affordable used cars because of scion of anchorage's lack of knowledge, and stupid salesmen.

Scion of Anchorage lost their best saleman earlyer this year. I know what you mean about the BS there. I know a Filipino dude in there and he's pretty cool.

Okay guys i have a little project for you. I'm pretty good when it comes to photoshop and anything related to web design, but one thing im not so good at is writing.

I need some type of "explination" for the aksc website. Like, who we are, when we started, what we do, and what our goal is. that type of thing. Know what im sayin? This will go on the front page. and is most likely permanent :)

Pretty much everyhting else is done on the website, i'll be working out all the details with drew over the next couple days as far as the hosting and the website go. I'll have a forum up, and a place for people to post news that will show up on the main page. Also, we'll have a calandar that we can add meet dates to, and a gallery for pictures and profiles, sort of like scionlife, along with a picture of the month. and stuff like that. SO, look for the new site to come up within the next week!

Any suggestions you have for the site, let me know. this is our website, im just designing it :p

the autostarts have temperature settings, so when it hits -5 it auto starts for 15 mins or however long. once an hour as long as it's on or below that temp.

edit: this makes it to where you dont have to have a block heater.

Let me know if anyone needs an autostart.. i can install it for ya.

i think the only place that can install for manuals is perfectionist. i dn't know if my car came with one. i have looked for the plug bnut i can't find it.

If you don't got a plug then you don't got one i was kinda surprised that Scion wants like 300.00 from what i remember when i ordered my scion.

i blew out one of my summer tires. i was going to work last wednesday morning goin to work. i was following a truck on tudor,we were on the far right lane and we just pasted golden dounut. the guy in the truck moved towards the curb a little bit and come to find out there was something on the road. it took up most of the lane so i couldn't move to the right (i would hit the curb) or to the left cause there was a car comming up pretty fast. sooooo.... i had no choice. i took one for the team.

So I've got orders for transfer to my next duty station: Marine Safety Detachment Unalaska. Starting in July of 2006 I'll spend one year in Dutch Harbor. As a reward for taking such a poopie assignment, I get my choice of any available duty station as a follow-on tour, and I've chosen Anchorage. Looks like we'll be seeing a bit more of each other some time in the not-so-distant future!

I heard someone being rediculously loud outside my window one night at about 4am dropping someone off.. lol and i looked out my window and i saw your car. plus i see you all around town.

And i have 2 xb's, ones black and ones white. my g/f's is the black one with the plates "BOXDIN" and mine is the white one with tinted windows with shimeks stickers on the sides.
