It has happened twice and I only have 1000 miles on it. whats going on? anyone else had the same problem? werdna9 03-08-2004, 04:14 PM haven'y had that yet! had mine since Nov. Running great kdanie 03-08-2004, 05:56 PM I have never experienced that either, when did it do it? Accleration? Deceleration? ken tiber 03-08-2004, 09:13 PM I noticed very bad idling when I first bought mine. It seems to me that the gas the Japs use isnt very good..or very cheap what they use to deliver. After I filled it for the first time the bad idling went away and now it purrs like a kitten 8) its_ikon 03-13-2004, 12:17 AM is it stock? TakumiJr 03-13-2004, 12:25 PM Could it be denotation by any chance? Backfiring isn't good if your car is stock and most piston motor aren't made for backfiring without any reinforcing internals. I know that my RX-7 backfire all the time because its a extremely RICH , but it's not bad as its a rotary. You should get that checked out because that might lead to bigger problems in the future. b0yt0y3 03-14-2004, 11:24 PM its been about 9,500 miles on mine and the engine went out. it has something to do with the fuel air mixture cuz i have to keep my foot on the excellerater for it to stay on. runforestrun 03-14-2004, 11:43 PM is it stock? Do you have an aftermarket exhaust and, or intake? These are known to create backpressure on N/A exhaust at decceleration. b0yt0y3 03-15-2004, 08:55 PM well i just found out that it was the piston hitting the spark plug and my engine went out. they are just waiting for toyota to go check it out so they can do an engine swap. it sucks |
