i have the stock piping with all the cats and resonaters still in tact. i wanted to get that popping backfire action so im getting a Megan S-Pipe and Test pipe. would that make my car start to backfire or would i have to get custom piping to make the piping a bit bigger so its less restricted??

 

You want just that popping noise or do you want to shoot flames too? Cuz I actually get the popping noise with just my HKS axleback...

 

a new s pipe, midpipe, and axle back should do it

but mind you, it will be nowhere NEAR as loud and noticeable as an srt4

 

my header-back exhaust had a lot popping sound from it..but no flames....

 

Step 1. Turn on your favorite Fast/furious movie or Initial D episode.
Step 2. Get out sound recorder and record.
Step 3. Play it in your car while you drive, dont forget to make the 'psssssssshhh' sounds with your mouth whenever you let your foot off the gas pedal.

 

^^ Werd. I think the only guys shooting flames are turbo guys. And I'm pretty sure shooting flames alone isn't good. but shooting flames + turbo is really not good. Don't quote me on that tho.

 

get a straight pipe, axleback, and an intake

 

if you want real popping action you're gonna have to get rid of the cat.

i shoot flames/backfire and tons of popping

so that means GO TURBO

 

My friend had a prove and he had aftermarket headers and straight piping all the way back and he shot killer flame ***** out the back it was pretty awesome at night

 

just to get popping sound and flames is stupid

if you want to modify your car for performance sake then i'd understand but for a damn noise?
