Default Just signed a purchase agreement to buy a tC.

My wife and I just signed a purchase agreement to buy a 2006 tC, azure pearl, automatic with side curtain airbags for her. The salesman said it would take around six to eight weeks to come in (Saratogs Springs, NY). He stated that he was going to put in a priority request to try to get one included in the dealership's allocation. He did not seem to keen on on trying to trade with another dealership to get one. Does getting one from another dealership lower the profit margin or is it more work? If no info on the car is forth coming I will try to light a fire under him.

other dealers probably don't have any either and if they did they probably don't want to give them up. nobody can keep them on the lot

Azure Pearl is the hardest/most rarest color to get, that added with side curtain airbags makes it a very rare car indeed. I wouldn't be surprised if no dealership in your area has it.

Default Thanks

I am sure that it will be worth the wait. I guess we won't be seeing too many other azure pearls on the road if they are a rare color. I may even get to borrow it once in a while once it is broken in.

I would think they'd lose a decent amount of money on transportation costs getting it from dealer B to your dealer A.

Not to mention all the hassle of keeping track of who owes who a scion and of what value.

Thanks for the congratulations but from the above comments in sounds like an azure pearl, automatic with side airbags might be pretty hard to find for the dealer. I won't consider this a done deal until I hear the tC is on the way (and maybe not until I actually see it).
