yes, the exhaust system serves the same purpose regardless of the transmission.

(isn't everyone proud of my answer?)

Why does it matter? I mean... Its just for looks and sound anyways. Its like asking, who put a bodykit on a automatic.

yes, it would serve the same purpose on the m/t as the a/t. to look shiny and sound like a lawnmower. just kidding there, really. the only thing you really should do if you want to get a non-stock exhaust is go stainless. it won't rot out on you like a normal exhaust will inevitably.

you're preaching to the choir. i "think" what he is asking is....will the hp gain from adding an aftermarket exhaust to a tC with a manual transmission be different than the hp gain from adding an aftermarket exhaust to a tC with an automatic transmission.

the answer would be the gain would be the gain based upon the transmission you have, if any. it appears he is deciding on his future transmission based upon a gain from an aftermarket exhaust. i hope that is not the case.

i may be wrong.

I think that would kinda be hard. But its different where I live. My friend got the tC with every single option(his parents work for toyota or something) And then the next day, we see the exact same thing except the wheels were differnt. But again, where i live, i dont see rice rocket civics but teenagers driving 350Zs...

Well if you want to do different, I'd say start with lowering springs so it looks a little bit different. Or go for a body kit and all that cosmetic stuff...

Dont ask me why, but your post reminds me of those tests in english class where they say 'which sentence in this paragraph doesnt belong. I've taken the liberty of putting those parts in bold.

oh, and to be on topic, I do think it would have the same purpose
