Default honking w/ remote i want it

Before my tc i had a honda and some of you might know a lil "feature" that they had which was when using the remote to lock the door after pressing it twice the horn would give you a reassuring honk to let you know that the doors locked as you walked away. i miss that feature cause the flashing lights just dont cut it for me when im in a rush and dont feel like physically paying attention to the lights. anyone know a mod to fix my issue besides getting a real alarm which i am considering

That feature comes with the Scion Security option.

I hate the horn sound, but a relay would work perfectly, connect it to your infrared if you can find it

get a simple $150 Directed Electronics (Viper/Rattler/Clifford/Valet/etc.) alarm. Good alarm, and it'll give you that chirp you want,

Did you read what this thread is about? It's about ways to mod the factory alarm to chirp. I think we all know other alarm systems have chirps.

he said "anyone know a mod to fix my issue besides getting a real alarm which i am considering"

so in other words .. he has no choice but to get an A.M alarm !!

What you said makes no sense. He said "beside getting a real alarm". It's clear he already knows he can get another alarm, however, I am sure as time goes by someone will figure out a mod to chirp the factory alarm. That is what he was asking for ... not alarm recomendations.

Anyway, I am sure the previous suggestion of hooking something to the car's lock transmitter/receiver would work OR something like t-tapping some kind of chirping horn to one of the power locks so when it gets a signal to lock/unlock the chirp also goes off.
