Default Zenesis Alarm Setting

Wondering if any Zenesis alarm owners out there can answer this question. I recently got it installed and am loving the alarm.

When I got it installed, since it had the factory defaults, the car would start with the remote control quietly. Since then, I've pressed a few buttons without knowing what they do (due to the learning curve), and every time I start the car with the remote control, my car makes a loud honk for about a second. Does anyone know how to set it so that it doesn't honk? I know it's possible through a setting on the remote, and I've read the manual several times, but I just can't figure out how.

I've been starting my car and people have been staring at it, thinking someone in my car honked at them. But there's no one in the car...kinda weird.

Nevermind, I pushed some more buttons and it went back to the way it was. I think it was hooked up to AUX3.

It wasn't the mute feature, that only controls whether or not the alarm chirps when it is armed/disarmed. My car honked when it was remotely started. Very annoying when I'm leaving my house late at night and I don't want the neighbor's to wake up. But after playing around with it a little, the honking has now gone away, seems to be hooked up to the AUX3 button, not completely sure. I love the alarm too

P.S. It'd be kind of cool if I had told my installer to hook up AUX2 and AUX3 to other features, like climate control or something else. It's too late for that now... Also the trunk release seems like a waste since tC's trunks have to be manually opened.

I had an installer put in everything, so I don't have any personal experience in paring the remote and the alarm. But in the installer manual it says to:

1. Insert the key in the ignition.
2. Turn the key to the ACC position (the position between OFF and ON).
3. Cycle between ON and ACC 5 times and leave it in the ON position the fifth time. (ACC-ON-ACC-ON-ACC-ON-ACC-ON-ACC-ON). ***
4. Press button 1 on each remote control once. For each remote control, you'll receive a confirmation chirp, and the parking lights will flash. (Alarm accepts up to 3 remote controls)
5. Turn the key to the OFF position once all remote controls have been confirmed.
***NOTE: You must do steps 1-3 within 3 seconds.

I got mine for $250 from 180tuning, but last time I checked they didn't have anymore left. You can try sending him a message or contacting him through their website 180tuning.com or even Zenesis's official website zenesisalarms.com. I highly recommend getting one

I've been thinking about getting myself a quality alarm system. If you don't mind me asking, How much did you pay to install it and where.

I got mine installed for $200, a decent price considering I didn't buy the alarm from the installer. The installer was extremely nice, even stayed an extra half an hour to finish it and make sure everything was working. It took him about 4 hours. His shop is located on the corner of Roosevelt Ave. and College Point Blvd. in Flushing, NY, shouldn't be that far away from you.

If you really want one, I suggest you get it now and maybe have it installed later on. When I got mine from 180tuning, he told me that they were switching to another product, and it seems to me that the new product is a bit under par compared to the Zenesis.

No problem. You can find the install booklet and the owner's manual here:
