Default xA 2.0 Number plate

One really cheap mod I did on the car was to move the 2.0 L.E. number plate to the upper left hand corner of the glove box door. Where Scion originally put it, no one can see it. Now people get in the car and ask what the number plate is all about. When you tell them how it's a limited edition car, they think that's pretty cool. It's a good conversation piece that way. What the heck, I paid big bucks for that plate.....might as well show it off. It dresses up the glove box door nicely too. (I'm not exactly worried about hurting the cars value by moving it if you know what I mean).

Be REALLY careful if you decide to move yours, you'll have to pry it up very carefully and slowly to allow the adhesive on the tape time to release without bending the plate. You'll probably need to put a new piece of wetherstripping tape behind it. You can clean any old leftover glue off of the old location with mineral spirits (charcoal lighter fluid) That won't hurt the plastic.

The glovebox has a very slight curve to it, so if you move the plate there you need to very slightly and gently bend the plate first.

Very nice and as you said it's much more visable now.

I never thought of relocating the badge, sounds like a good idea.

Perhaps using a heat gun would make removal easier. I know it is effective in removing badges from the hatch. If used properly it shouldn't damage the interior.

Great Idea Zeeness. I might use a hair dryer myself since they don't get as hot as a heat gun, and it might be less likely to melt the dash board. I'm sure though that if a person is careful it won't matter what they use.

Thanks for the GREAT tip.
