Default Dealer didn't install options?

I ordered my xB with the lowering springs and the sports exhaust. How can I check that these were installed?

The springs on the car are not the pearl white springs like on the accessories page of Scion.com. And I don't know what to look for in the exhaust.

Thanks!

At the end of your exhaust there should be a stamp in the tip saying "dc sports",and as for the springs if there the trd ones they should be white.

Not sure but I think if he ordered an exhaust from the Scion catalog for his xB it is probably going to be the TRD. The RS2 edition such as ours comes standard with the DC Sports exhaust. And yes, if you have the TRD springs they are in fact white. Hope this helps.

Look at your muffler. The TRD muffler is polished stainless steel. It looks like a mirror.

Also, yes, TRD springs are white. I have never seen them in another color for the xB, so if yours aren't white, they aren't TRD.

Take some pics for us and we can all be sure if you like.

Well, the exhaust is not polished stainless steel, and the springs are black. I'll take some pictures tomorrow...

UGH!!! I had enough problems with the dealer just getting my xB. Has anyone else had this problem? What would be the best way for me to approach them? I've had my xB for just a little of 2 months, would there be any statute of limitations on these things?

Thanks!

If you paid for them when you bought the car then you have the right to have them on your car. That sucks that your dealership has done this to you. Have you brought this to their attention yet? It could just be an honest mistake. If you haven't told them yet, I would go to them ASAP...

Default Now with pictures!

I took the following pictures, but I'm pretty sure the lowering spring and sport exhaust wasn't installed.

Yea, that's what I was afraid of! That's something I would've never even thought of checking!

They are definitely getting a call on Monday!!! :-)

Check your invoice. If they charged you for it, and told you that it was in fact installed. Get Consumer affairs involved.

If they didn't mention anything about it, it could just be an oversight.
Either way I would ask for a compensation.

Default Dealer called me back today

They realized it was a mistake and have ordered the parts so they can install them.

I'll post when it's completed with some pics, but hopefully this will have a happy ending (except the 70 mile drive back to the dealer ).

Maybe I'm too old and cynical, but I highly doubt it is a mistake. Funny how these "mistakes" are always in THEIR favor! Now if they installed a 6-CD changer that you didn't order or pay for... THAT would be a mistake.

I suggest getting something in writing from them ASAP that these things were not installed. A dealership that plays it that fast-n-loose, can turn around and say that they DID install them and that YOU had them swapped out.
