Like most families with teen age boys we are busy alot.
The best free weekday is Wed. Fridays and Saturdays also
work. This week we will be in Portland for a soccer tourny.
Might stop by the Beaverton scavenger hunt to say Hi to all

high school from 5:30 to 7:30, so if you want to get in

Let's start to meet up on Wed. at 7pm. At the Coffee Break on Silverdale Wy across the street from Silverdale Red Apple Market. Just past the baseball field and Our Place Pub, behind Key Bank. That way if there is any events going on the following weekends, we can make plans that night. It's always work out best doing it that way.
I'm just now getting into the soccer thing with our kids too. :bow: We have twins, a boy and a girl that just turned 6yrs old. So, we understand the busy alot. lol....

Hey gang! I just ordered my FM tC this morning! Went to Heartland and told them I wanted a bone-stock FM. Luckily enough, there was one over in Seattle at Michael's Toyota. They're shipping it over and I should be picking it up tomorrow morning (er...this morning).

What a way to kick off my 24th birthday. =D

Now as for meeting up with you guys, my schedule has been having me get off at 8pm. And I work all the way in Suquamish. :doh: My schedule has been pretty insane as of late, and I've got a whole bunch of things going on this whole month (working, friend's wedding, working, spending time with my girlfriend from California, working).

Where is Silverdale in location to Purdy? I graduated from Peninsula HS back in 86...yeah, Im an old fart. Wanting to come back eventually, but it is getting SOOOO expensive out there.

hwy 16 = tacoma--gig harbor---purdy----port orchard-gorst--bremerton--silverdale. about 25 miles.

I'll be in Paulsbo with a buddy on wed. what time do you guys meet and where? I would love to come.

We will be meeting Wed night at 7 (6:45ish), in the parking lot between Key Bank and American Marine Bank on Silverdale Way. From Paulsbo take the mall exit and turn right
when you hit Silverdale way and were two blocks south on the left. If you miss that,
get off at Newberry Hill exit, go north east and it turns into silverdale way. We'd be
up about 4 blocks.

This is the last weekly meet, we change to bi-weekly in October.

Just curious, but why would you move these M&G threads to the club-oriented forums? The fact that it was IN a general forum to begin with was how I was able to meet up with everyone; and in turn, join SE. I can imagine people posting more threads asking where anyone meets up. This being stickied on top of the public NW forum kinda cut that down, dontcha think?

And in turn, it almost makes these M&Gs SE-invite only, which might turn some enthusiasts away. Could be wrong, but some people actually might WANT to hang out with other Scion owners without needing to join the club. *shrug*

:question: Yeah, I agree. Won't it make it harder for people to see what is going on in the NW if you stick all the M&G's in the club forums? I think that this would best serve us in the NW forum. You can stick the pictures under SE if you want to. But this should stay public and easy to find.

Clubs have a choice: They can treat their meets as proprietary and lock them away so non-members can't ask questions or post notes that they will be there, or they can treat them as open meets that don't 'belong' to the club, even if the club was kind enough to set them up.

One way a club has total control, the other way they end up with uncontrolled input from all quarters.

The resolution may require a lot of folks to seriously consider the direction they want not just individual clubs to go, but the Scion Community as a whole.

For now the question is a 'club' question rather than one of the general population.

I know most of the people that go to the Kitsap meets are SE folks,
but it always has been open for all to come. Normally we just hang
out, BS, and eat BBQ. Only twice within a year can I recall any kind
of formal SE business going on and we still invited all present to get
involved and voice an opinion.

I do agree that once an event date has passed the sticky should be
removed.

Here'e the poop. SE 'sponsors' the meet and greets and whether we like it or not, its on the flyer and there are certain individulas who will make and have made a big stink about it.

The solution? Start a new topic that doesnt reference a specific club and we'll all be good. We'll know in our hearts whats going on but it will present a non-threatening front for those concerned.
