Default Question about HIDs on stock healight housing

I'm planning on getting a 6000k HID kit for stock housing...and i just have one concern:

I know that all retrofits are illegal now a days, but would a kit like this be THAT obvious for the cops?

Anyone here with a 6000k kit or higher on stock heads have any trouble, or no troube...?

what are your opinions? I have to get rid of the stock halogen setup...its just so weak.

I've yet to see a post about someone getting pulled over for their HID in stock housing but it would be wise to use projectors with your HID so that you won't blind oncoming traffic or cars infront of you looking through the rear view mirror.

hid retrofit, OEM drop in, projector retrofit..
all that is ILLEGAL in most states because you are
modifying your headlights.

i have a H4 drop in kit in my stock oem housings.
if u aim your lights correctly, and if your system is
of decent quality(comes with working glareguards)..
u should have no issues. our stock housings are pretty good.

u CAN get projectors like z-lite says, but i dont think
any aftermarket headlights for the scions are good
quality, i think they';re not worth getting,
but thats just my opinion.

/\/\/\ That's exactly why i don't want to get projectors. None look worth getting.

hahajoey, i plan on getting a techone kit.... Whats your opinion on them? Good quality, glare guarded?

you can, if you want, get those ebay projectors and just take apart the headlight and take out the projector. go on ebay and find some oem HID projectors and swap them in. I just saw some E39 M5 projectors on ebay for like $95.

good luck whatever you choose.

The best/most legal way to "go HID" is with projectors. www.hidplanet.com

Questions about kelvin and other HID related topics can be found (in part) here
