Hey all, I believe this is my first post on the forums so far, but not my first look This is a long story on how I came over the tC I'm getting. I was first looking at my friends 1997 Mitsubishi RS, but my parents decided it wasn't something I should be getting for my first car because they have heard they break down a lot if not treated right. So then they decided that they'd let me get an xB (No they aren't paying for it). So I was like "Ok, whatever".

Next day we went to the dealership and talked to a couple people, my parents had already been up there a few times before because I convinced them to get the limited edition tC. So that day they picked it up, and I was able to test drive one of the tC's with a crapload of addons on it already. It was exciting, I loved the feel of the drive, the sensitivity of the brakes and the gas and the steering was incredibly responsive, I fell in love right there. So I talked to my parents later that night about getting one, and they said it was fine, so the next day we went up and talked to them about getting a blue base model 5 Speed tC.

A week later they said they had a silver one coming in and it was going to take like 2-3 months to get my blue one And I wasn't about to wait that long for my tC. Someone had already bought a Silver one so it was out in the parking lot, we had a few looks at it, the guy within a day had already put the TRD exhaust on, tinted the windows, new shifting ****, rims and wheels...So it was nice. I liked the shift **** he got on it so I ordered that with mine, but I can't wait I've already ordered some parts for the tC and haven't even gotten it yet They said it was going to be around 7-10 days until they got it in. So I'll have it by next week.

BTW - I ordered the HKS Hi-Powered Exhaust and the Typhoon intake. The style I'm gonna have the car be is Silver / Carbon Fiber / Black. If I plan on getting an underglow kit for my car, what would be a good colour? Blue maybe? I'm open for suggestions! Thanks for your reading time.

congrats on the tC.......sorry to tell but the HKS exhaust will ruin the look of your car....the sound is good dont get me wrong but the look doesnt fit the tC the tip is tilted and sticks out too much it throws off the look so much ....the look is meant for hondas not toyotas (scion) anyways the K&N intake isnt bad I got the injen CAI sounds good ......good luck and make sure everything is exactly like you asked for ...

 

can we get a forum for new people/new owners... im getting a bit tired of all these questions and hellos. no offense to the original poster... im just a bit irriatated...

but as far a good color for chasis lights... any color really. if you keep you color scheme silver (in essacne light grey) black and CF (really its just a darker grey or silver and black mixed) its a failr mono tone scheme. so any color would look alright.

my personal pref would be something that a lot of people arent doing... but there are onyl so amny manly colors in the rainbow....

think
red (standard color)
blue (standard color)
green (try darker not the light neon looking one)
yellow (this would be my choice for hat you have goin on so far)
orange (this would be kinda weird looking... though maybe original...

 

Thanks, I don't know what to say about the HKS Exhaust, I've seen some pics of it and I think it looks good, I love the look of the angled exhausts and I heard it sounds great so I thought I might as well go with it.

 

haha thats really wierd. i was also about to buy a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS off a friend but my mom didnt want a used car and she also heard bad things about the eclipse. so then i was also about to get a blue tC. but i ended up ordering a silver like you, not because the blue was hard to find though, i just liked silver better. hehe its wierd, when i was reading your post, it matched my situation almost exactly and i was thinking to myself, "i dont ever remember posting this message"

EVERY aftermarket parts fot the tC 05 would fit in the tC 06?

 

I'm not too sure if thats true, but the 2006 version is only like 200 dollars more and the only thing the dealership said they really changed was that they changed the buttons on the stereo to ***** and they put controls for the stereo on the steering wheel.
