Default help with maint light, no its not the oil thing

ok a while back my maint light started flashing when i started my car and even tually stayed solid every time i drove my car, no biggie, the dealer probably forgot to reset the light as per the FAQ on scion life, \so i went to the FAQ and went through the whole procedure setting the light to 4000 as per the bars, but then the light never turned off. i have a OBD2 code reader that i used on several cars so i hooked it up to my xb and there were no codes bieng thrown, i proceded to reset the oil change procedure agian just in cast i missed some thing, but no beans.

im going to take it into the dealer t osee if they could shed some light, but i thought i'd ask here first, is there any reason for the maint reqd light to be on besides the oil change light that would not throw a OBD code?

It could be some sort of stored code.

This means there was an error that is no longer present so it doesn't throw a code but it still turns on the light. I thought the Maint Req'd light was only for oil change though.

Check to make sure your oil filter and cap and stuff is secure.

i dont know why it would ONLY be for the oil change, where would the check engine light be if it wernet, is there another light for OBD codes? i should go check my manual agian, i dont remember seeing a second light. its wiered because my OBDII reader checks for codes sequentialy 4 times, then it clears the computer out and resets it.

hey i forgot to reset my computer after i installed my new exhaust, maube it did reset it, its been feelin somewhat spunkier latley, lol.

On the tC, the maint light can also indicate low tire pressure - looks like this: (!). Dunno if that's a help, but might be worth looking at.
