Default New option: Courtesy Delivery??

I just went to the "build your scion" site as I do about 20x a day it seems like and noticed under Exterior Accessories "Courtesy Delivery" is now available as a selectable option for $0. No other information provided, and a google of scion.com and a search on these here forums didn't pull anything up.

Anyone know what this means? Are dealers going to start driving the car to us?

A Courtesy Delivery is when you order and pay one (typically far away) dealership for a vehicle and a nearby dealership delivers the car to you.

This happens when you want a very specific vehicle but the dealership near you does not have the vehicle and can't get it soon enough or ever. Through some extensive searching (the nearby dealership may help) you find that another dealership far away has the car you want. You pay the far away dealership for the car and the cost to be delivered to the nearby dealership (if there is one).

"Nearby" dealerships hate to do it because it is a pain and usually demand some $ from the far away dealership for doing it.

I have no idea why that would be listed as an option on Scion.com.

I think this option might only for for certain area codes, not all of them.
