hello all, does anyone know where i can get the factory rca harness other than ebay or a dealer? want to keep the stock look and add system but dont want to have to cut and insert a converter form best buy or one of those stores. the factory one makes it easy, nice and clean

my understanding is that Scion doesn't make something like that. And that the ones you see on ebay are a third party toyota part with a Scion sticker on it

 

What type of amp are you planning on installing mono,2ch,or 4ch?

 

I'm very happy with my kit that I got off EBay.
It works perfectly sending signal to my amp.

They also sell one that has 2 pair of RCA outs and a plug that allows you to use the factory speaker wiring with your new 4-channel amp. If you are interested in this one, email the seller. The seller is a member of Norcal Scions and posts on SL under the name GNIZZLE.

when you get the factory sub, how do they connect it with out any rca's on the head unit??

 

there is a harness with 2 plugs on it, one goes into the HU and the other into the sub....I think it's using High-level signal but don't know for sure....it may be that there are low-level outputs but not RCA plugs on the HU itself...just RCA's built inside the HU

 

using a kenwood 3,2,1 channel amp thax for for all the input folx

 

i dont think the stock sub uses RCA's inputs.
