Default Installing security light to drive away theives.

I need your help boys. I want to install this bad boy

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ory=48611&rd=1

I have scion security installed by dealer but want to change that annoying red light in my center console to this bright blue one. My question is how do I wire this to replace the current red light??

I can't see the auction atm, something wrong with ebay. If it's simply a better LED, you just need to crimp the positive to the positive wire, and negative to negative wire.

I really doubt it will matter. At all.

If someone wants to steal your car, they will. They don't care what color light you have.

true. the light is not there for prevention, just a deterrence. hopefully the thief will move on to the next car, without the bright blue lights.

The car thief will be more interested in stealing your l33t blue LED than the actual car, so he'll just smash your windows and rip out the l33t blue LED and show it to his friends for laughs and giggles.

I have a scanner led module on my rear view mirror, so when my car is armed, it's like kit car.

Yeah, I'm aware of this. I feel I'm in a comfortable area. When I go back to school,I'll be across the street in my dorm well within 2-way paging range + 7 dorm roomates, so I'm not too worried.

So if you didn't have an alarm, where would be a good place to wire to so that it will only turn on when the car is off?

Hmmmmmmmmm...

If you don't have an alarm you'll have to connect the LED to a switch that you can turn on and off when you want the light to come on.
