I called a few dealers in the Portland Metro area just now and all say they have verified through the port that their initial 06 Scion orders are in. They say that their xB's will be at their dealerships from the port w/in 7 days now. I've been waiting patiently now for 34 days now. Unless 4 diff dealers are lying, I believe them. I would bet the same is in other dealers?

 

Sweet. I would love to see that 06. The 06 tc is sweet, with the radio an d wheel controlls. Xb should look sweet too.

 

One dealer in Beaverton told me they had an 06 in Camo now that was an auto, but Camo just doesnt do it for me no matter how despirate I am. Portland dealer told me they have a white one, but it is a stick. Either way, I know I will be driving mine w/in 2 weeks. YES!!

P.S. A dealer in Aloha, Or told me they just sold an o6 TC with the new radio, but did not know if the xB's have them. I'm not interested in the tc, but this might be helpfull to others like you?

If it was camo it wasn't 06... Camo was discontinued for 06 so that must've been an 05.

 

In another thread it was stated by a dealer that the new colors will be phased in later in the year, so it's entirely possible there will still be camos and BCPs that are 06's.

ive had my 06 SW TC 5 speed for almost 2 months now. it is sweet. im from portland and got it at broadway scion. they put the 05 HU in it and the ipod upgrade didn wrk and im still hashing it all out with em. the streering wheel controls didn wrk with the 05 HU either. thats the only prob ive had. check out my cardomain site if u want.

I called my dealer Friday and he had one 06 in port available. He said the color was Black Cherry. I questioned this info and he confirmed that it is an 06. Snap - credit card in hand - deposit done.

Hope to see it by the end of the month.

 

iyzmi, I purchased my son's Toyota from this guy, he is not mistaken.

dilysi1985, I've heard some other complaints about the goings on at Broadway Toyota/Scion dealership. I'm sure they all have their stories, nonetheless I carefully asked around before I threw down my hard earned $500 deposit.

Rich is right about the colors. My dealership in Denver offered to order 2006 Camo 5spd for me, but with an estimated 8-10 week for delivery. The Camo and BCP will be phased out in December. Then, Salsa Red Pearl and Flint Mica will be the replacement colors. Those can be ordered now but you'll be waiting several months to take one home.

Yeah thats correct my 2006 Camo xB is in port right now and will be here by next week. So you can still get camo and black cheery. Too bad I didnt know about black cheery though as thats what my wife wanted to get and I told her it was gone but for some reason the camo was still there. Ohwell.

I just wish it had steering wheel controls.

 

So aside from the unknown RS's, the colors are the same this year for the xB? I've read around the boards and heard something about a "salsa red" type color, but I haven't read anything that said a definite one way or another.

 

It is definite and it's not a Salsa Red-type color: it is just Salsa Red. Elway Scion in DTC (Denver) is offering it on the 06 along with Flint Mica. Don't know about other Denver Scion showrooms, but assume it's the same color selections.

We own a Salsa Red 04 Prius #9.
If you search you can see the photos posted recently. The changeover is expected about Jan-Feb 06 for availability on FM and SRP. Toyota intro'd Salsa Red with the 2004 Prius, not sure if it's avail on other Toyota models.

Congratulatiions, did you wait long? Also, I called 4 dealers around the Portland metro area, including where my deposit is and asked what 2006 xB's and their colors they had received. Thiinking maybe somebody had received an automatic 06 xB in thunder Cloud Metallic. While everyone I spoke with reported only receiving a few, the colors were, Blck, Camo and white only. Beavertontoyota and Tonkin both told me they did have a few of what I am looking for coming in, however they won't be in town for a few more week. I wonder if this is the same accross the board? (at least for now anyway).

 

i just got my 06 today!, took a week after ordering it, No Lie.......somehow my dealer was able to snipe it from another dealer while it was still in transit to the port, its a SW Tc with side airbags.......i was really suprised how fast and easy it was to get one.......

 

quick question. While I knwo the title says 06 and references to xB there are various post about the tc. So what is it then. Is the thread about xas and xb or 06 models in general??

My question is not to be mean at all to the tc people it is just so I have a better understanding of what thew conversation is about.
