Default Aux port issues

OK, I have a 2007 scion tc, and my aux port (pic 1) was working fine, and then just stopped one day.

I pulled out the aux port, and played with it by bending the jack in the port, and occasionally it would recognize it. I tried a paper-trick I saw on you-tube, and that worked for about a month. So, what I've found out is that it will work if I bend it pretty hard in the middle. (pic 2) Applying pressure to the arrows in the picture accomplished this.

I added a fulcrum and tied wire around it very tightly to try and bend the board some. (forgot to take a pic) That works, however, I have to keep adjusting it often, and it's getting annoying.

Any fixes for this? If not, what is the part I need to buy, and where do I buy it? Hopefully it won't break the bank as well. Thanks

Try another aux cable. Your plug may be worn.

I had intermittent aux jack problems and switched to gold plated aux cable plugs. Problem solved. Gold creates less resistance than chrome and it's less susceptible to static electricity.
