I did a search but didnt find anything specific..or anything stating that a CF Hood was available for the xA. Mostly was.. In the process.. they are thinking about it..theyre doing the xB first etc etc.

Does anyone know if someone is manufacturing these already or is it by special order? Really interested in acquiring one... a quality cf hood. So if anyone can lead me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated :D

You should hit up Camoscion. He has the hook up on cf hoods. They are the best I have seen on the market and we have seen them all. Find him in the registry. He has them in stock.

Hey, that's like the one Fiber Images is going to do for the Xb. If there are 10 or more of you that want an carbon hood with a scoop, Post it up cuz Fiber Images will make them if there is a demand. As you know, they are the Mercedes Benz of hoods in quality so you know that they fit. We used to sell the CHEAP hood for a couple hundred bucks but they never fit! Fiber Images fit like a glove. I'm trying to get Xb owners to sign up but its only up to 8 or 9.

Okay then since my other thread was closed after only 2 replies let me try this again. I have obviously read this thread and I see that there is a CF hood for the xA for $800, but that is way more then what I would consider paying when I can get that same style hood for less (would have to be developed). Although I'm sure you are paying for a top-end high quality piece.

I would rather only pay low $300 for an OEM and maybe $350-$400 for one with a scoop since the surface area of the hood is not that big at all. I know this can be accomplished through VIS since I have dealt with them many times. I've organized GBs through them for over 40 hoods to date, plus I am getting some new hoods developed for the 04 Nissan Sentras. (I know that GBs aren't allowed here so thats why I was trying to gauge interest before embarking on a project like this).

So are there hoods out there with a similar price tag, or are they all just custom made?

If I end up getting an xA or a tC I would like to get one either similar to the one I have on my car now (pictured below) or with a reverse scoop. If they aren't out yet then it's time to have them made!

Ive sent OE Tuning several emails and still have no response. Ive PMed PandaIST as well, nothing. Is there another way to get in contact? A Phone # maybe? Their site doesnt list one.

well you know you can count me in if it's a style similar to the c-one, the reverse hood scoop doesn't do anything for me, but that's just me and my air flow addiction talking...

hey guys,
we have been selling OEM carbon fiber hoods for the xB and are considering manufacturing one for the xA community. we need at least 5 orders to cover the initial production cost so let me know if you would buy a OEM design. we can offer an introductory GB price of $180 plus $100 S&H to anywhere in the lower 48 States. $100 deposit requred, local pickup available at no extra charge.
let me know so i can start a new GB thread!

if there's enough demand to start production, we will also make a scoop version similar to the C-one hood pictured above.

If you make a CF hood with a REVERSE scoop for the xA, I will buy one.

The reason I don't like the one pictured above, is because the trailing edges are not flared out (they go straight back).

Look at the CF hood on my S2000, (which is an Amuse replica) and you will see what I mean.

I am quite sure it will be a big seller, compared to other CF hoods. If no one produces this design, I'll have it custom made.

I agree with Kodokan... I like the reverse scoop. Also, I see blumatrix asking about making CF hoods/accessories for a few other cars on the forums I've been on. Remember, blu, "Quality over Quantity."

The pics posted above by BLAZETIGER also show a reverse scoop with flared trailing edges (not on a Scion xA either).
