Default my tC expeirience has sucked...

I was first told 6-8 week wait for my car. I bought it on 6/27/05. I was then told that it was in Portland, OR on 7/13/05. Then i called again on 7/21/05, and my salesperson told me it was in transit between chicago and portland. Then i called another time on 7/28/05. He said it was in Chiacago and would be another 24-72 hours prolly. Well, that would mean that it should be delivered today. So i went to my local dealership and wow, they had new shipments of toyotas and scions. So i went up to Green Bay where i bought mine, and they also had a new shipment since yesterday. However, my car wasnt there. My salesperson told me that i could prolly pick it up tom. night. Well, it wasnt on tonights shipment. So am i gonna have to wait antoher week, or ddo you think there is another shipment coming later tonight, or tom? THanks. I'm starting to get mad since he seems to keep lieing.

I just waited for my dealer to call me when the car was ready. Waited exactly 4 weeks.

Got the call on a Wednesday morning at 10am. Car had just arrived to Longo and whabam! Was out of there in 2 hours.

I figured that the dealer would want to get their cars off the lot asap. So I never bothered calling in for updates... In fact, my sales dude called me about 2-3 times to keep ME informed!

your topic is a lil misleading. makes it sound like you have the tC and it sucks.

you mean your scion dealer experience has sucked. And from what i've heard from other people, most of em are idiots anyway.

Listen to this guy... if your dealer says tomorrow night... and you're complaining now... WTF? Wait until tomorrow night. Maybe you didn't see it b/c it was in the service area getting something installed? Who knows. Give the dealer a chance. It sounds like he's been pretty honest with you about all of it so far. You just seem to be overreacting.

Now, if it's not ready when he says it is, ok, then get upset.

Default Waiting for TC

I can beleive all the horror stories I am hearing about getting a TC. I ordered my FM 5 speed on June 9th and received it on June 23rd. The dealer felt bad about taking so long and gave me at no cost the mud flaps, mats and a bottle of touch up paint. Guess it's all in the dealership. I was up there the other day and they have a new 06 FM on the lot for sale.

Good luck to all the future owners.

ack154.....i am complaining b/c it wasnt on the lot. The dealer doesnt get daily shipments i know, so it wont be there today. It wasnt in the docks b/c i looked inside their windows (all empty). I called them today, and turns out that it was moved to the next truck for thursday. Hopefully this time it works out, as i again have to take off work to get it.

if this is the case, sorry, but do you work 12 hrs a day Mon-Sat? (hell, even Sunday?) I don't know your dealer situation, but mine was open Sun-Sat something like 10am-10pm (except sunday) Just wondering why you have to take off work to get the car.

If you think about it...if he got it to you sometime this week, the dealer would've delivered the car before the date he promised. This week is only the 5th week, I think your lack of patience is your problem. But don't get me wrong, I feel your pain. Just relax and find other things to do. You'll get your TC in due time.

Yeah, 6-8 week wait is what he told me. But if the car has been in the US since July 13th, there is no reason i shouldnt have it already. Also, yes, i do work alot of hours. My dealer is open 8-6 most the week with one or two days of 8-8. I work about 45-50 hours a week, and mostly during those hours. So i do have to take off. Im a college student so i must work to get money (paying for my own college, insurance, and everything). So it is a big deal that i had to take 2 days off work b/c they screwed up by not getting it on the right truck in time.

Youre a busy ___ person! But yah I agree that it's a big deal when you have to miss work.

you should post your experience in the dealer/retailer thread and put down the name of this dealer. But you might want to wait until after you get the car and have driven it for a week or two. You will definitely be less upset and be able to write a clear unbiased review of your experience. Good luck.
