Default Tired of waiting for CARB #? Simplify the matter!

No longer up - author of petition apparently got his ticket settled or something or rather.

i agree with you but i'd be surprised if cops ever did support something that was in the interest of the people. I mean come on, all they care about is their revenue generated by the tickets they can issue. They would love to have control over the people too bad the law stands in their way. I'm not saying all cops are bad, but a lot of them are power hungry people who do not deserve to wear that badge.

Do I think this would ever pass in california? anything is possible. But I have the feeling that unless it's voted on by the people of california, the legislature will just scoff and laugh at it, dismissing it and nothing else will be done..

Unless you have lots of $$$ or power behind you, things stay the way they are cuz they make a lot of money off of those tickets..

to get any thing to pass all you need is enough people, registered voters to be more precise to get together. the only reason the government has power is cus we give it to them, and this one person can't do anything mentality, this is only true when others who believe in what their saying do nothing. Anything can be passed, everyone who is important to the politics process (voters) needs to be a little less lazy and stand up when they think something is wrong, like this person is trying to do. So if you are one of these people which should be everyone over 18, sign and be herd

:stat steps off soap box: thank you

The primary advantage companies have over citizens is money. They can advertise and pay for a wider audience whereas citizens really can't. That's why this is dependent on forums like these to really get it across. However, this petition is only to bring it before the eyes of politicians and to be eligible to be voted on. But still, if there is a lot of backing (I mean a lot.. ) than some politician would be sure to back it.

Bump.

If you sign this the cost of all future CARBeriffic mods will go down!

And we all know most companies like making their stuff CARBeriffic!

The use of "V ictims" make this seem a bit overboard and no one will take it seriously.

Well I didn't write that up.

But what other word would suffice? I personally would've said "the majority of those targeted."

This Petition has nothing to do With Carb #s or with Exsisting Emission laws. This is a person who got harrased by having a loud exhaust and doesn't want to be harrased anymore. Wich is perfectlyl logical. But The Topic of this thread is totally misleading. AND if any person who was harrased by officers Simply Need to get a decible reading of their exhaust and take it to court, and if You are LEGAL all charges should be dropped. IF you aren't LEGAL and if Your Emissions aren't LEGAL, then you got what you deserved.

This has to nothing to do with emission laws - true; but it involves CARB #s. It should make it easier to obtain a number by companies. it says so here:

4. Simplify the process for C.A.R.B. legalization of aftermarket products. Make it cheaper and easier for companies to certify their products.
If it weren't for that I wouldn't have bothered.

This won't ease up on emission laws as I would don't really favor easing up on emission laws. This just makes it a simpler process to get a CARB #. My beef is simply that CARB regulations are stupid if they'll not allow a product that meets state and federal emissions quotas from become CARB legal. It's just the government trying to make some more money.

I can see why they set up CARB this way. More revenue for the government, higher prices for the product and consequently more sales tax money so the government gets a double whammy of cash. But this is still a democracy so you know, we still should voice our opinions about this.

umm...

No taxation without representation!

Here's a solution get a CARB exempt car and make it 1000HP!!
I live in california and i'll addmit it sucks...but ya know I dont wanna be breathing up on everybodies souped up tail pipes everyday
I have one modern car(tc) and a volkswagen beetle that would smash any 20k car and under and nobody can harass me because its an old carb exempt car.

and FYI I stopped putting chessy stickers and blue lights everywhere cause it just give a cop a reason to pull you over...because
1. they have nothing better to do and
2. somebody who puts stuff like that on their car has got to be a teenager and teenagers are always up to no good!
Personally i say get rid of the seat belt laws!!! It's my life and i'll wear what i want _____es!

This shouldn't lower emission standards - it should only simplify the process of getting a CARB #. Emission standards are levels of pollution allowed to be emitted by cars and factories and anything polluting.

A car with a CAI, header and exhaust could theoretically be a PZEV and still not be CARBeriffic. I think that is simply dumb.

To simplify the Carb Process they need to change California Emission Laws, Or have ALL the Car manufacturers Produce There vehicles with aftermarket parts In mind. In the Case of the tC. That HUGE carbon Filter in the airbox would never had been there. The Flange after the second Cat location..
