I'm pleased to say that my phone has been ringin off the wall the past few days for the pre party.

So, far, this is the count:

People who are getting in free plus the free valet, 39 counted so far.

People that are getting in free (the plus one list), 17 so far.

So, I have 11 spots left on the free valet and 33 spots on the "pay your own valet" list.

More Updates on the event:

The rsvp list must be complete with no more add ons by Monday the 7th. With phone traffic going the way it is and you guys doing such a great job of getting the word out, I think we will hit our 100 rsvp list.

If I do have left over, I will pass them out accordingly. My thing is that I want to have as many people as we can there and if we can use up all of the event money, that would make sense. I mean that's why I spent the money - for you guys - the owners. :) :)

Thoughts on the Pre Party Line Up. We have confirmed that we will use the movie theatre's parking lot as long as the following occurs. The City of Irving (cause I used to live there) has a very cool easy going Police Department and for the few minutes that we are all lined up in the parking lot, we shouldn't affect anybody, but...

when you do pull in, please park in a spot and not sideways or crooked or anything. I know everyone will want to jump out of their cars and say what's up to people you haven't seen since the last expo - that's expected, but if you could mind our staff, it will make the pull up a little easier.

Our idea is to get a little sign, like a number on a colored piece of paper that will tell the valet guys that you're already paid for. When you pull in to the movie theater parking lot, my staff will check in your car with the people that are in your car. We will check them off the list, then give your car a numbered piece of paper. That number will go on your dashboard and will tell the guy standing by valet that you're covered.

I NEED A CAMCORDER!! I know that someone has one and we need to borrow it for that night. What I want to do is this: the guy (one of my staff) posted at the door to the club will be set up in such a way that he can video tape EVERY SINGLE SCION PULLING UP WITH EVERYONE GETTING OUT. If you think this is a cool idea, let me know. If not, we can scratch this idea.

After you have been checked in at the parking lot, it doesn't matter to me what order you pull out in. I will lead the first car (Black tC) and will have a walkie talkie in my car. As I pull in, I will lead by example what to do. (I'm sure it's hard to get out of a car and walk into a club - but I just wanted to make sure those of you who NEVER go to clubs knows what to do.) :)

Please follow the valet guys' lead. The valet entrance will be coned off. If you get disconnected from the rest of the line (which I'm sure you will), don't panic - one of my staff will ride in the last car (if that's cool) and make sure that everyone gets there. Our goal is to make sure everyone has a good time and for us, that will be our fun, taking care of you guys.

When you pull up to Valet, simply tell them ..."I'm with Scion." that's the magic word!!

fyi - these valet guys are the nicest in the world - so expect that - I'm sorry, sometimes getting quick service means that you lose customer service, if you know what I mean.

first comments on the super charger.

i installed the supercharger on a stock manual tC that we have here at the Richardson store, so if anybody wants to come on out and (meet me in person), just kidding and drive it, feel free.

I'm eager to see what everyone thinks about it.

1st and 2nd gears are still good. 3rd gear around 55mph - the car takes off. In my opinion, $4,000 might be a little much for this add, but the more I drive it, the more it's growin on me.

I drove a stock tC without the upgrade and was like - this thing is slow. So, I'm eager to hear what everyone thinks about this new TRD upgrade.

And don't get me wrong, a base tC Manual, listing for $16,835 with 160 hp...to be able to buy something under $21,000 with all the features the tC already offers AND 200 hp - come on - what else is there out there?

The TSX - but how much is that?

The new 06 Civic Si - but what's retail on one of those - plus I heard the back seat is pretty cramped.

So, $4,000 might be a little much, but when you put 2 and 2 together (the upgrade with the base car), Scion might really be onto something here.

I have new details:

The Jam the xB compettition:
You have to be 18 (it's a liability issue). The current known record is 22 people in an xB. The prizes will be exclusive Scion winter jackets for everyone on the winning team.

There will be an Xbox tourney using the Forza Motorsports racing game. Up to 4 players can race at a time and I believe the set up will be near the Scion monster truck. Prizes will be iPods.

There will be 6 classes for the show. Mild and Wild in xA, xB, and tC. They will also have Best in Show and most club entries.

Parking is first come first serve. So it is imperative that you roll in with whoever you want to park with. They will not allow you to save spaces for anyone. This is also the only way you will be able to get a group photo.

Gates open at either 9:00 or 9:30 AM, I need to find out for sure which because I have ben told both. And judging starts at 10 AM. Not much time for tidying up, especially for those of us that will be partying the night before.

The Agenda:

Ok, at first, I thought planning a party would be like – ok, dude, I’ll meet you up at the club and we all get laced and then I’ll hit you up tomorrow at the event...yeah, no!

So, after some extensive planning and a lot of help from you guys on Scion Life, this is what I have come up with.

9:45p – 10:15p
There is an AMC Theatre called, AMC the Grand. For those of you looking this stuff up on the Internet, here is the address of the movie theatre:
10110 Technology Boulevard East, Dallas, TX 75220. When you are pulling onto Technology Blvd, you’ll see us congregating there on the left after you pass the restaurants.
When you arrive, park in a spot facing the same direction as the car next to you. The car you pull up next to is the one you’ll follow in to the club.
One of my staff members will check you in. A check in will be the following: Your name, who’s in your car, who’s on the list. Once we do that, we will give you a dashboard identifier. (just a piece of paper letting valet know, you’re taken care of)
Once you pull in to the lot, and check in, please try not to leave the area, as this will cause too much confusion. Please try and eat before you pull in to the check-in lot.
Check-in should take about 30 minutes as we allow for those others to arrive. IF we have latecomers, you will need to call Chad at (214) 336-1612 as soon as you think you know when you’ll be at the club. I’ll head outside and wait for you to arrive. The valet guys won’t do anything without my authorization nor will the door guys. If you arrive after 11:30p, the list is no longer valid and you will have to pay your own way, valet and all. Please don’t take this as an excuse to pull in whenever you want to. For those of you who pull in at the same time, I will pay for you, as agreed. Anyone who wants to come later just because will have to pay their own way. Once again, this is to make sure my staff doesn’t spend the whole night chasing people down.

10:15p
Don’t wait until 10:15p to show up. At 10:15p, we will pull out and head to the club. My Black tC will be parked out front of the club, so I will ride with Laura in her Flint tC as the first car. Eric will follow us in his Black xA. He will then park his car and stand at the entrance to the club from the street to direct you guys in. Nate will stay at the check-in lot to make sure everyone pulls out and to cover any latecomers.
The club is right around the corner and we will enter from the street. So follow the guy in front of you. If you get bumped out of line (which you will), don’t panic. We will get you all squared away. In order for this list thing to work smoothly, we are arranging with the club, sort of a window, where they let us pull up, they frisk us, and let us walk right in.

After that, you’re on your own. Have fun and be safe. Legally, I can’t tell you not to drink and drive, but if you do get a little tipsy, we will be there to make sure you don’t drive.

Drink responsibly for safety also you don't want to spend the day at Exposed with a hangover. I know from experience in Houston. I didn't get any sleep the night before, which reminds me Chad you better turn off you cell phone before you go to bed. In Houston I got a call at 2:30AM from someone trying to find a room and they had my cel number that I had posted for an unrelated party at my house.

This just in, from the lips of Corporate themselves to your ears. You are the first to hear this – so be privileged.

Scion is releasing a Comic Book. That’s right. After careful review, they are coming out with comic book characters to represent Scion.

For the xA, we have “xActo”. He sports a mean looking Yellow xA (like LJ’s car).

For the xB, we have “xBmc”. He sports the Orange xB (the Pioneer 5-star axis xB).

For the tC, we have “tCya”. She sports the Absolute Red tC.

Now, as a sort of promo, tCya will be there at Scion Exposed from 1p – 3p to sign autographs. We figured that would be the time most of us would be showing up anyways. Anyhow, the idea for her is to promote the comic Book.

Now, info on the comic book...

Every Scion Owner will have one in their mailbox by the 1st week of December. They will raffle some off (the Prototypes) at the Exposed Event on Sunday. You should start to see them on our showrooms by the new year.

Also, tCya will make a debut appearance at Club Che the night of the Pre Party. We will be giving away 10 free copies of the comic book that night as well. I will shoot an e-mail across to you a little later on to show you the comic book characters, that is, if any of you are interested....

Remember, you heard it first from tSR (team Scion Richardson).

good morning - how's everyone doin today - well, the official countdown begins, just 3 more days til the fun begins - well, I guess 2 1/2 for those of you who are going to the pre party.

so - last night, I was out prospectin for this show - I went to this little tea shop in Plano, called Java and Cha - anyone heard of it??

Anyhow, when I pulled in, I saw a tricked out IS as well as a Silver M3, of course a few rice burners, and then 2 tC's.

The original plan was to pull up in the middle of them and pop the hood and then like walk off and get a Green Tea or something...

as I was gettin out of the car, most people were like - dude, sweet rims. I have Black Rims with a Silver Lip, Motegi DP-12 18" in Glossy Black to be exact. So, we started chattin about his White tC - this guy had HID's for real - not like the knockoffs you see out there - plus his system was thumpin - it was alot of fun.

So, you can say, I'm psyched about this thing - well Scion in general, cause I'm crazy like that, crazy I tell ya!!

And Capt Pooty - you think you were givin me crap - you should see the post I put on Scion life on the main page ...Scion to release a comic book...man, those people were ruthless - just tearin up the idea!! :loser: :loser:

but it's Scion's thing and I'm just promotin it - I'll probably buy like 200 of them for my store - you know - advertising stuff.

well - it's here - the day has arrived.

I feel like that movie Days of Thunder, when the movie starts, where the Raceway is really quiet and the sun is coming up over the horizon... :eyebrow:

ok -so that was a little off color. Anyone head out to Club Seven last night? I thought I would go see my boy DJ Wikka and show some love...a little quiet at first, but by midnite, it was kickin - the music, the crowd, the girls - yeah they have these girls that work for emodels.com to come out and stage dance - you know, the good ole hotties dancing on the stage thing - it made the party hype and I thought it was a good touch.

Here are a few last minute details.

For those of you driving from out of town. Good Luck and Drive Safe. Dallas PD is on the move. Last night, we counted some 100 foot/bike cops and about 25 cruisers on a 3 street/6 block radius. Of course that was in Deep Ellum. Thank Goodness we didn't pick downtown!!

The meeting place is AMC Theatres. Keep in mind, when you pull onto Technology Blvd from NW Hwy, you'll see restaurants on your left and and restaurants on your right. The theater is in at the back of the parking lot. We want to be meet somewhere in the parking lot to the left. Look for a Flint Mica tC with (2) people standing next to it. I know it's vague, but that's the best I can do.

Ok - I have to get going to work - you know that other job I have.

I think this weekend was a huge success. I wasn't at the Houston show, but I felt that alot of people were pumped about what we did here in Dallas.

SDG - I just wanted to say that you guys (and girls) are the coolest Scion people around. I really wish that you guys were from Dallas - we need more enthusiasts like you here in Dallas. I could see it now, Fajitas, Corona's, BBQ's, Scions, Hydros, Systems - you name it!!

Scikotics (did I spell it right - reading those t-shirts was eye straining) - Thank you for your enthusiasm - You guys were amazing beating the National 22 record of jamming xB's - Although you got beat, in my eyes, you're worth as much as the winners for stuffing your butts in your xB. Congrats on the Best of Show award. I'm sorry for not better planning the Pre Party - but these are things to know for the next show. I was just thrilled on the amount of organization that you guys had throughout the whole Sunday event - You guys are awesome!!

Sport City, Scion of Dallas, SAI - good job on your efforts.

I wasn't so sure we were going to make it out when we left...I was yellin' at Jeff from Sprt City that Dallas Sucked. Every road just turns into another road without warning and it gets very confusing!

On the bright side, we did get to see the thriving Metropolis of Downtown Grapevine!

yeah....we were on 140 or whatever it was and it just kept going and going, we thought we were going the wrong way, we were going to turn around and go back, but then we saw the big buildings in the distance and decided to go just a little further, and what do you know, it was the speedway! Coming home was much easier, we found a shorter route than the way we came in.

ha ha ha we were soooooo lost! we were on 3 different freeways they all said ft worth downtown... one of those was the one we had to take... but none of them took us there... oh well.... and like chris said coming home was way easier... Thanks chad for writing down directions for us...!!!
