stock tC rim weight??
Right on the avareg for an OEM wheel. Any factory alloy will be the diameter + 2-3lbs, unless the wheel is chrome.
17" + 2-3lbs = 19-20lb wheel. Totally the norm.
I don't know why people worry about it that much anyway-- the average 215/45 tire weighs more than that, usually 22-23lbs. A very light 17x7 wheel will be 14-15 lbs, a savings of about 20lbs of unsprung, rotating mass.
Better to save the weight with the rim and put the weight right back on with a wider tire. For as we know, wider is better.
