Default tC rims using stock tires

I want to buy some rims, but use the stock tires with them until I am forced to replace them with some new, top of the line tires. What do I need to look for-what must be the specifications of the rims to use with the stock tires. 17 x 7 , 5 x 100 -- but do they have to have a 45mm offset also? Englighten me. And if you can, point me in the right direction to start looking, or shoot me some recommendations. Thanks

they offset doesnt matter when you want to your stock tires on the new wheels. i'd say you can fit your stock tires up to a 17x8in wide wheel but your tire will stretch a little.

ok so as long as the wheels are 17x7 (7.5) with a 5x100 lug pattern, I can use my stock tires with them. The offset can be, 40, 45, 48, etc. it doesn't matter. Just want to clarify. Please give me some responses for reassurance :D
