Replacing 2012 xD Tires..
Replacing the stock tires and are looking at a set of
G-year Eagle GT 205 50 16 tires. Had these on a Matrix
and they handles nice and were great in the rain.
They have a Load index: 87. Speed Index: V
Other than the speedo difference will there be any issues?
Is anyone running 225-50-16 or 225-40-16 tires?
Any issues with those sizes?
Thanks!

For safety reasons alone, I would not use a size that has a lower load index than the factory specified 89 load. Also, the 205/50/16 is about 1" shorter in diameter than factory size, so that will look funny anyways. So, that's a double negative.
Best bet is 205/55/16. 205/60/16 or 215/55/16 for safety purposes, and a huge selection of tires.
If you go 225/50/16 make sure they are not to wide for the OEM steel wheels.
