lowering question, tried search.
im looking at getting an 06 FM 5spd Tc, and absolutely hate the way the car sits from the factory. i want to lower it, and ive done lots of looking around here, and have determined that i like the drop of the hotchkis springs the best.
My questions are:
1. will i need the rear camber links for this much of a drop, to put it back to factory specs?(assumed from the package at mcgeorgeparts.com)
2. How is the ride? i like that it will become a better handling car, but i dont want to sacrafice ride quality. i've had tight suspensions before and while nice for a short while it killed me for a daily driver...
3. will i need to upgrade the shocks/struts to control these springs, or will the stockers work fine? i know that the stockers will go sooner if i upgrade the springs. i just dont want to have the typical "ricer" bounce on this car.
Any help you guys and girls can give would be greatly appreciated.

wat is camber kit used for?
to allow adjustability in camber angle (highly used in professional racing). yes you can use it for street use but you will only save so much of your tires and will be an overall waste of $$. unless you plan on adjusting you camber angle for various reasons.
I dont tink anyone on here has driven enough miles on aftermarket springs to say anything.
i dunnot if putting 20k miles on my TEIN S.TECH's will help out but. shocks are not how they are since day one. tats for sure. they are softer. but my springs are softening too.
my shocks are useable but defintely not with the TEIN. Stechs. i feel every bump in the road (im very self conscious of the car however) and when i hit a small dip or something my car is jumping. and cornering? my car jumps now too.
i have no experience with hotchkis. all i ever hear is that "hotchkis is comfortably soft" but thats usually when the drivers havent broken or settled the springs in yet so.
IMO

i think you should get the camber kits to align the car properly so you won't have camber wear on the tires and it would be best to get aftermarket struts for the car. personally i would just pay a few hundred more for a full coilover set. that way you can adjust your dampering and your ride height
