Munch 03-31-2004, 01:36 AM I ordered mine yesterday...should be here soon enough... Which ones did you get :?: sml27 03-31-2004, 01:51 AM Are the slots wide enough so air can get thru? Do you think there would be a problem of the engine over heating? Munch 03-31-2004, 01:56 AM Are the slots wide enough so air can get thru? Do you think there would be a problem of the engine over heating? These grills have better cooling than the stock grill. The stock grill is solid and dosen't let air through, this one does. The billet grill replaces the stock grill. Al-Truistic 03-31-2004, 01:58 AM Munch, those look great! Do you know if they come in black and could you tell me where you got them from? Congrats on one damn sophisticated box! :D BlueScionXB 03-31-2004, 02:05 AM I ordered the T-Rex too...same as the one Munch got... scionracerxb 03-31-2004, 02:07 AM Are the slots wide enough so air can get thru? The billet grill replaces the stock grill. unfortunately, thats not true, the billet grille makes the engine run hotter cuz it lets all the air into the engine bay thru the grille and actually creates pressure in the engine bay, thus not lettin the air enter in through the radiator as it was designed to do. The billet grille that comes with the hot lava has a peice of plastic behind it to block the airflow for this very reason. Munch 03-31-2004, 02:11 AM Are the slots wide enough so air can get thru? DJ_X_Trodinaire 03-31-2004, 02:12 AM Are the slots wide enough so air can get thru? Do you think there would be a problem of the engine over heating? Just to point out. The radiator uses the 2 lower grill (on the bumper) the stock upper grill doesnt let air thru becuz it is solid from behind  JASciON 03-31-2004, 02:14 AM Are the slots wide enough so air can get thru? I was wondering if anyone knew if you can order only the bottom 2 cause i'll just order the top one from my parts dept. I definitly love the look of that better. BraveLittleToaster 04-06-2004, 10:56 AM Munch. Where did you order the grilles from? superjeer 04-11-2004, 02:52 PM sweet!  Did you take any pics of the grill before mounting? Nope I don't have any pics before I put them on :( superjeer 04-11-2004, 02:57 PM I'm wondering how they install compared to the b Cools. The top grill is pass through on the tRex too, right? Munch 04-11-2004, 03:00 PM I'm wondering how they install compared to the b Cools. The top grill is pass through on the tRex too, right? Yes it is. But I made an aluminum piece to direct air down to my radiator, and also to direct water down out of the engine bay. hTXb 04-12-2004, 01:50 PM :D Hey Munch, looks great! Was it an easy install? Did the kit come w/screws because I heard some of the kits out there use zip ties :? (I like your plates by the way...funny!) Munch 04-12-2004, 02:19 PM :D Hey Munch, looks great! Was it an easy install? Did the kit come w/screws because I heard some of the kits out there use zip ties :? (I like your plates by the way...funny!) No zip ties here. The grills come with all the brackets and hardware you need to install them. Munch 04-12-2004, 02:22 PM :D Hey Munch, looks great! Was it an easy install? (I like your plates by the way...funny!) It was an easy install. The install took me about 45 minutes to do. I've had my plates for a long time now. They ____ of the local Honda crowd. I love it   . ayS 04-12-2004, 03:12 PM Are the slots wide enough so air can get thru? Do you think there would be a problem of the engine over heating? They look pretty similiar. If I go with the mesh upper, I'll buy his stuff too. But those billets look sweet too! Mike R. rolex87 Munch 04-12-2004, 04:14 PM Try Randode's grills. On the website it says discontinued. superjeer 04-12-2004, 04:26 PM I think that mesh grill is nice too. I also think it' would look fine with the stock lowers if you were to paint them to match the color of the upper. Just a thought. rolex87 04-12-2004, 05:46 PM Hmmm, this changes my plans! Guess I didn't check out his grills lately. I still think the mesh grill would look sweet by itself. Mike R. rolex87 lowsheenla 04-12-2004, 06:41 PM I would want the lower grills to be exactly the same as the top stock grill. Easier to dry after washing, and would have a great monochromatic look. jdaddybox 04-12-2004, 10:40 PM Hey, I bought the grill off ebay and have not been able to figure out how to instal the middle grill. I think you are supposed to zip tie those things to the stock grill. Mine are totally different than those. They come with thier own hardware (brackets and bolts) to secure them to the car. |
