Default where's your sirius antenna?

i just got my sirius radio setup but im having a hard time picking a spot for the antenna. i have it sitting on the dash with the wire running straight down the dash and my center console sitting on the passenger seat until I find a place for everything. so im wondering where you guys have your antenna placed and how did you run the wire?

I have mine on the passenger side by the hatch. I ran the wire in through the wire harness of the hatch. I've been thinking of moving the antenna to inside one of the side mirrors for a total stealth look.

The problem with my situation is that it's magnet-based so I can't attach it to our glass roof. I don't want to have a piece of metal on the other side of the glass to keep it in place either so I want to keep it inside. The dash would work but I want to hide the wires behind/under the dash, can it be removed and put back easily?

You don't even have to take the dash apart. If you open up the door you can tuck the wire in behind the panel and then just use a small flathead screwdriver to tuck it into the gap between the dash and pillar cover.

I'm picky when it comes to running wire and don't want to push the wire into a corner and hoping it won't get out. I'd rather use zip ties to tie the wire down to something so that it won't move.

If you want decent reception, you need to put it on the roof. The best place is on the back next to the radio antenna. There's a pop out on the hatch-molding door for wires. Slice it enough to get the wire through and mount it in the center. You can buy a plastic wire protector piece with extra adhesive to make it look clean.

There's not enough slack in the wire for my wire to move as it is between the frame/dash piece for part of the run. Then between the dash and pillar cover for the rest. My tuner is mounted in the dash. I have the rest of the wire zip tied from where it comes from the dash to behind the radio.
