how do i bridge a 4 channel amp?
i got a four channel 500 watt amp, and two 10" inch subs. right now i don't think im getting the full power of my amp. how do i bridge the subs to get 250 watts on each sub?
i'm not an expert but first off your amp has to be able to bridgeable. if it is u use channel 1 & 2 for one sub and channel 3 & 4 for the other. for example u will use the + on channel 1 and the - on channel 2 for one sub and the + on chanel 3 and - on channel 4 for the other. this is the basic set up but their are other ways like wiring in parralel witch get mor complicated. hope this helps
Please post the exact specs of your amp and subs so we can really help you.
Also, I wouldn't recommend any 4 channel amp to run subs efficiently. I'd go with either a 2 channel D-Class Amplifier or a MonoBlock Amplifier made to push power to the subs depending on the subs power handling and OHM's. But we've all gotta go with what fits our budgets.

What kind of subs?
To bridge, you'd just connect the + from channel A to the minus from channel B.
Do the same for C and D.
They may be named Front Left/Front Right, Rear Left/Rear Right instead of ABCD, but bridging is just combining the two by wiring them together basically.
Also, you can only bridge 2 channels to one sub, the other 2 to the other sub....don't try to make them into 1 channel.
