Default draw backs of using cloth diapers to wax your vehicle?

Microfiber is all the rage but I have been using diapers to clean polish and wax for years. What are peoples thoughts on this?

Enlighten me...

What do diapers cost? Are they reuseable? (I am guessing not) Have you ever encountered any swirls?

And no, I have never had kids.

I have a place that sell used cloth diapers for 12 dollars for 15 diapers. They are washable and my mother always used them on her 55 t bird that was a full frame off resto show car and never worried about paint damage. BTW you can reuse them

You'd have a tough time convincing me to clean my car with a used diaper, but to each their own...

Microfiber is not that much more expensive.

Think about this:

Compare the fabric texture between the 2 items. Cloth diapers do not have sufficient nap to trap and remove dust and dirt particles from the paint surface. You may risk dragging those particles on the paint and incur fine scratches. In essence, you are just moving the dust around on the surface.

With microfiber fabrics, the unique surface structure contains hundreds of thousands of micro fiber " hooks" per square inch. These micro-hooks grab, lift, and hold dust away from the surface as you wipe.

Test your towels/cloths on an old CD. If it scratches the CD, it will scratch your paint surface.

We carry a complete line of microfiber towels and applicators. See them on our site at www.gotmicrofiber.com

Microfiber is the way to go. Safe and reusable.

i have used the diapers for years. they are super soft after they have been washed over and over. i don't like the way micro fibers feel. they have a tac to them. i have used the diapers on my past cars, that both won best pearl paint jobs at shows.

Does everyone have an add for cloth diapers at cutebabyshoes.com at the bottom of this thread? I would have expected microfiber.

yes I do, wow.

I use a foam applicator to apply wax and a microfiber to buff it off. I don't see a need for baby diapers, they should be used for babies not cars. What was good 50yrs ago has since been improved on and is no longer the best method. Use quality microfiber pakshak sells great MF.

Hey, I've got my first baby due in February. Maybe I can kill two birds with one stone. Anyone know where I can get some microfiber diapers?
