Has anyone installed an aftermarket PULLEY or S-PIPE on their tC? it would be great if anyone would like to talk about these two parts.

are they worth buying? any gains? sound different? other improvements???

so far ive seen

- CreativeCompacts S-PIPE
- ZPI Scion tC High Flow S-Pipe
- Unorthodox Racing Ultra S Underdrive Pulley

No..nobody has ever installed any of those parts on their car.

People say the pully gives some good pickup but there are risks of engine damage in the long run. Better option is a lightweight flywheel altough its SLIGHTLY mor expensive. Its said the S-Pipe isnt worthwhile unless you have I/H/E already. I will be getting my s-pipe sometime next week and Ill be happy to share my results after I install it.

I bought the ZPI Racing S-pipe. Great quality. Its a bit short in length 1/4" maybe. When you are bolting it stick the rear bolts in by a few threads then line up the front and bolt down to the exhaust manifold then bolt the rear all the way the exhaust will be pulled foward slightly. Its a great part the tone of the exhaust changes a little. Great mod definate fell the increase. It complements the CAI, Header well I have the rear section exhaust on order and will let you know how it is after that. Its nice mod though. Exhaust looks better with it too (from underneath the car).

im actually deciding whether the s-pipe or pulley is a good choice... im leaning more towards the s-pipe. but most likely ill get the creativecompacts version.... as for the pulleys, there too many bad stories about those aswell as one of my buddies had one for his RSX-S and he said it didnt do anything for him (piece of junk).

but if the s-pipe changes the tone of my car and a slight improvement on performance, that conviences me more then enough. i really do want a deeper tone to my car

there are several people on these boards who have installed pulleys with good results. I have personally used several different kits from NST, www.NonStopTuning.com and have had nothing but positive experiences with more than 60,000 miles.

Both are good mods and the gains improve with each when used in conjuction with other bolt ons. Good luck to you
