Default PAC Steering Wheel Adapter

Hey guys,

I did a search and couldn't come up with a definite answer.....

I tried to contact PAC(through a crutchfield rep), but it seems they have not tested this thing on our platform yet. They do however have listings for most 05 toyotas.

Has anyone had success with the PAC SWI-X on an aftermarket HU and the '06 steering wheel controls?

These things are pretty simple: power, ground, and remote signal connections only. I am 99% convinced that if it works on a yota, it will work for us. Any toyota electrical experts have an opinion?

Thanks!

There have been a few threads about this. Some people have successfully used it. The SWI-X is not a direct plug-in, it works using a remote eye and you program it using your HU's remote. Someone mentioned using the instructions included for the '05 Camry.

I have the SWI-X and my installer set it up (had to, I want the 3 yr warranty from Eclipse. It works nice, same responsivness as a normal remote. I think he had to call someone to find out what wires to mess with, but all in all, it works good.
