S-pipe problem
I have a megan s-pipe and it happens to keep leaking. Ive tried almost everything to stop it... liquid gasket, flat grinding the flange, sealent... etc. Ive had it up to here with this stupid pipe but its a really good piece. Does anyone reccomend welding it straight onto the midpipe? Any ideas or advice would be great. Thanks
are you sure the leak is coming from where the flanges meet? ones guy i know had a prob with his the weld on the flange was not welded right. so it leaked right behind the flange.
The muffler shop said that my OEM flange on the mnidpipe was warped. Their solution was to cut the flange off the midpipe and the end of the s-pipe, swap the ends to a tri-bolt flange and reinstall it.
then either do new flanges or cut them and do a flex pipe in there since that is a big flex point lol i learned it the hard way when i did my exhaust welded a flange slightly cocked and it broke off the bolts lol but flex pipe will work fine
